Burson Playmate 2 (3W, ESS9038 DAC, Pre amp, DSD512, USB-C, toslink)
Thanks a lot for info! The Playmate 2 looks very promising, I really hope it would be. Quick question, when having op amps setup, I've read some people might actually combine 2 vivid and 2 classic, instead of only 4 vivid or 4 classic. Maybe to get the best of both sound signatures? I have no...- BSOD0x

Burson Playmate 2 (3W, ESS9038 DAC, Pre amp, DSD512, USB-C, toslink)
I thought about a typo too, kinda of mW instead of W for the 100, 150 & 300 Ohms values. But, I actually contacted Burson to double check the specs about the impedance / power values, and they indicated those are the right values: Still, it might look like an honest mistake.- BSOD0x

Burson Playmate 2 (3W, ESS9038 DAC, Pre amp, DSD512, USB-C, toslink)
I've been looking for an to upgrade to my XDuoo 05 DAC/Amp with burson v5i op amp, and I don't know if this would be the right move. I mean, if I pick up the Burson Playmate 2 with the discount, including 4 burson v6 vivid, which would cost $531. I does look like a pretty good deal and after...- BSOD0x

Shure SRH1840 and SRH1440 Unveiled!
Thanks a lot. I'm getting the 1840 as replacement directly from Shure due to the multiple times I had to replace the 940's. I'm going to use the amp/dac xduoo xd05 with Burson v5i opamp. I'll let you know how it goes. The 1840 are on their way. Let's see how it goes.- BSOD0x

Shure SRH1840 and SRH1440 Unveiled!
If you don't mind I wanted to ask. I'm replacing my Shure 940 because of the hinges problem (for the third time )... so I'm planning to get it replaced with a different Shure model. I truly love the clarity and detail that comes out of the 940s, but I no longer want to deal with the hinges...- BSOD0x

XDuoo XD-05 Portable Dac/Amp Introduction - Impressions
Hi! I'm planning to buy this device from gearbest.com, it looks like most of you have done it with good results. Then I'll maybe put the Burson V5i chip in there which seems to produce better sound. I currently have the shure 940 (for home use) and shure 215 (carrying around use)...- BSOD0x

First Impressions of the new Beyerdynamic T70p
Quote: Well, the 940's are like a little monsters when it comes down to detail, so I'm used to that, don't know if the t70 would pick up more detail than the 940s, maybe since the t70 were described as cleaner, it could somehow be better detailed, but when I get them I'll provide...- BSOD0x

First Impressions of the new Beyerdynamic T70p
Thank you guys! It seems to be a good choice since I like the sound of the 940s and if the T70 seems to be better, I'd love them!- BSOD0x

First Impressions of the new Beyerdynamic T70p
Thanks for the info. I only use FLAC files, so about the source I'm not worried about (files at least) and the 940s are extremely picky too (clinical style) so I'm used to that and I truly like it, but I was wondering if they're on the same "pickyness" level, besides the rest of the sound...- BSOD0x

First Impressions of the new Beyerdynamic T70p
I'm thinking of a possible upgrade from my Shure 940s, which I love because of the detail sound they have. The t70p seems to be a good upgrade, but I have not found anything comparing both (of course not in the same league). I know it's kinda silly to compare them and I think the t70p would be...- BSOD0x

The FiiO X3 Thread UPDATE: Project Back On! Read the First Post for Information.
I have not owned nor tested as many headphones, players, AMPs, or DACs as most of you. When I started to learn about this I decided to get an Ibasso D12 DAC/amp + Shure 940 + FLAC files, which I'm quite pleased with... This is my very first "real" setup, but my portable player is my celphone...- BSOD0x

Thanks! I simply missed it.... I have to admit I'm pretty impressed about how Fiio is taking feedback from people before releasing it. So far I don't own any Fiio product, but I think this is going to change pretty soon....- BSOD0x

The FiiO X3 Thread UPDATE: Project Back On! Read the First Post for Information.
I'm seriously thinking about buying the X3, however does anybody really know when it's going to be available for purchase? I tried to read the entire thread but it's kinda long and most likely I missed feiao saying when it's going to be available (assuming feiao already mentioned it)... Any...- BSOD0x
