    Xears Thread (formerly TD III)

I probably should add that I mostly listen to Classical, Jazz and some Rock/Metal. And these Xears Revolution replaced my previous go-to IEM's - Radiopaq Classical (they were nice too, but their build quality was even worse, I was totally disgusted by the need to constantly re-glue one of the...

    Xears Thread (formerly TD III)

Well, all these QC issues are becoming REALLY annoying. Yesterday, after 9 months of pretty careful in-door use I somehow lost the metal anti-wax grid on my left channel Revolution IEM (I got the Purple Edition at a reduced price from the official Xears eBay shop). I'm not even sure how could it...

The ATH-CKM50. The CKM family impressions..(First look at the NEW CKM500)..Pg 86

Dsnuts,   Thank you for the response. Of course, there's no rush, and I actually already have too many phones (a half of them not in use) to buy another pair (instead of new music), but a new analitical/balanced IEM under $30 would be nice as a secondary/spare set, esp. if it does both rock...

The ATH-CKM50. The CKM family impressions..(First look at the NEW CKM500)..Pg 86

Well, after you'd dethroned TT as THE supposed IEM king under $100, could you tell me how much worse is it compared to CKM50? I live in Europe and, while I strongly prefer the AT's sound signature (I have ATH-M50), I can't take the advantage of the current Amazon sale - the total price incl. the...

New hybrid amp by Little Dot, I+

BTW, in another LD I+ thread LT1364 was considered too dangerous because of its high DC offset - it can 'cook' your headphones, so LM4562 (same as LME49720) and OPA2107 are more safe options.

    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

intoart, I have several cans (and still want some more) and LD I+ could not do its best with all of them. With particular cans and recordings I prefer more straightforward/narrow/fair SS output of my soundcard or (rarely) old Pioneer receiver. But it's so called sinergy that stops me from any...

    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

Just some thoughts on my current configuration. The best I've got yet is EF92 Mullards + Burr-Brown OPA2107. This opamp added resolution AND some kind of smoothness at the same time. One of my test CDs is the latest Nightwish (I'm not a fan, actually, I just like it as a nice product). It's a...

    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

Hi there. I got my amp in October and recently got a pair of NOS EF92 by Mullard from a 100% trusted eBay seller for just 6 (!) bucks incl. shipping from UK to continental Europe. It seems to be a 'new logo' industrial, not military, variety, but considering the price... Both tubes work...
