    Sony WF-1000XM4 Impressions Thread

I tried out the Devialet at the same time. They sound nice, but I found them very one-dimensional compared to the Sony. There's some kind of DSP going on in the sony that makes them - smooth / revealing / multi-dimensional. I don't know if it's technically "accurate" but to me they were...

    Sony WF-1000XM4 Impressions Thread

I can't believe there isn't more action in this thread. I've owned all kinds headphones/earphones over the years, and I constantly feel like my Amazon return threshold is in jeopardy. That said, I've been listing to these Sonys skeptically for about 2 weeks now and I think they're the best...

I currently own the 2, 3 and 4 XR models, and I can honestly say that I only listen to the ER2XR anymore. They ER2XRs just tickle something that feels substantially nicer on almost every song.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Any chance you could share a picture of how the TM2 connect with the etymotic? Curious how you managed the insertion angle.

I wanted to try the TM2 but couldn't justify the cost difference. I also find the ER2XR sound to be the best of the ER range. Wearing my set upside down with the TRN works great. The wires are really strong bends and just kind of clip on. very secure. Does the ambient mode work well?

Thanks! Yes, once you shave a tiny bit of the rubber off of the TRN's mmcx connector, it snaps in securely and will not fall out. (key not an issue) Heat shrink really is just for aesthetics. With the deep insertion and TWS configuration, they feel like nothing. Very liberating.

If anyone was interested in a TWS Etymotic, I’ve found that they work really well with the TRN BT20(S) adapters. Needed to shave off about 1/32nd of the rubber on the TRN adapter for the MMCX to connect properly, then put a tiny bit of heat shrink over the adapter and the earphone to cover the...

    AUDIOSENSE in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

I've tried about 20 different tips. Right now, I'm loving some wide bore triple flanges I found on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0776ZHJLV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They sound great and are very comfortable for me. They feel exactly like Etymotics in my ears.

Pop a couple of these in and I think you'll be very happy. They just take the edge off the brightness like a xanax.:) https://www.etymotic.com/er38-46.html ($12 with tool) They work great on the T800 and you don't have to wait for shipping from asia. I didn't notice any real changes in...
