Only pads I have for comparison are the flat foam grado pads that came with my sr60e. The interior of these wool pads is made of a softer and thinner wool than the outside. I would compare them to microsuede but I never get itchy with wool. Unfortunately my leather pads from other headphones...

Thanks for the help David. It was actually much easier than I expected. Here's the final product. Cups are Leopardwood from SpinAF. Gimbals from ShipiboAudio. Pads and Headband from BeautifulAudio. And the driver is of course Nhoord :) Got to say it's the most comfortable headphone...

Agreed. The cups protrude so much from the head that I can imagine accidentally bumping into things and scratching them. Not the worth the risk imo for such an expensive pair of cans
