Dac/Headphone Amp for Critical Listening
Greetings Head-fiers!! I am using a pair of Oppo PM3s for mobile critical listening and mastering. I was looking a dac/headphone amp that has a smaller footprint but doesn't need to be "portable". I was curious about the following units: Oppo HA-2/HA-2SE JDS Labs El Dac & EL Amp Wyred4Sound...- audiorefinery

Shure SRH1840 and SRH1440 Unveiled!
Greetings everyone, I've been reading this discussion and have been quite intrigued by the SRH 1840. I currently own the MDR 7520s. I use them for mixing but wanted something a bit more open for stereo imaging and critical listening. Basically, a companion headphone for the Sony's. With that...- audiorefinery

Quote: Thank you for that insight. I was just more curious if anyone got experimental not for any other reason then to just hear what that sounds like. Would anyone happen to have any insight as to how the pairing of the Benchmark DAC1 and the paradox sounds?- audiorefinery

Yeah, that's probably a very old article that has today's date! The pictures from LFFs gallery look completely different than the one posted too. And like Radio_Head says, it's been a while since LFF used the "socks"... so... Yeah that review was from around July of last year- audiorefinery

Hey Everyone, I read just about every post on this thread, and didn't notice anything about someone trying the Paradox with the Mad Dog Alpha pads. Has anyone given this a try?- audiorefinery

Calling Everyone Mixing music in Headphones!!!!!!!!
Apparently judging by the second half of page 2 to present, not only are people skipping the first post of this thread, but oddly find themselves preaching speakers are the only way on a headphone forum. Perhaps I should post a sample of what we are doing on this thread.- audiorefinery

Calling Everyone Mixing music in Headphones!!!!!!!!
Quote: My professional opinion on the matter is, a tool is a tool. Any speaker can be learned just as any headphone can be learned. Speakers are always preferred but not always an option. At that point you can't go telling a client that the mix won't be done today because my speakers aren't...- audiorefinery
