What exactly is ASIO and what hardware is required to run it? What makes it so good in the audiophile sense?

So I have the Klipsch 2.1 Speakers are pretty old and I would like to replace the cords and any other small thing that could possibly increase the sound quality (Note: I am also upgrading from onboard sound to Chaintech AV-710). Thanks in advance, j.

So I recently runied my HD-600's and need to fix them A.S.A.P.! I ran the vaccuum and put it too close to both of the earcups. Now the speaker is blown out. I've heard that all I need to get is two more elements and install them and they will be perfectly fine. Is this true? Here is the link...
