Turn me on to some good world music

You should try out Gotan Project if you haven't already. I'm not sure it counts as strictly world music, but it's tons of fun to listen to in my opinion.

Female artists that have the same style of imogen heap

Definitely try out Psapp, and maybe Beth Orton's "The Other Side of Daybreak" (Mostly the Four Tet remixes and the last track for Imogen Heap sounding stuff, but the rest is good too) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OBxL8PiFc8

What does the word "pop" mean to you?

I'd say pop music is something similar to whatever everyone is listening to at the time. It doesn't have to be popular itself to fall into the pop category for me, it just has to sound like the current musical fad. I guess "trendy" would be a good synonym.

    Post your sweet mix "tape"

My mixes tend to be more like a string where the next track is only really related to the track before it...it makes the overall mix seem crazy but I like it that way. One I just recently made for a college bud: L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever) - Kasabian Sleeping Faster - Lo Fidelity...

In desperate need of new music that I like...

Try P.O.S., Tom Vek, and Cold War Kids for sure I think you'll love them even though they're very different. You might like Gomez, Fischerspooner, and Blonde Redhead too. Oh, and Benni Benassi for some cheap synth action when no one is looking

    Amon Tobin - Foley Room....Wow

Ive been in and out of the whole IDM thing for a few years, but this album hit me like Ive never been hit before. I've never even really thought of making a topic about an album, but I really can't get over this one. So for those who haven't heared it yet, do so now For those who have...

Are the E500's good enough to be the only headphone?

You will miss the full sized cans. IEMs and full sized headphones are very different experiences. While I love my E500s, their "in your head" presentation becomes extremely grating after any extended listening period.

    Top 2006 albums

Another one I just discovered Cold War Kids - Robbers and Cowards, very White Stripes-ish and very good.

    Music CDs for Headphones

Psapp - "The Only Thing I Ever Wanted" creates a wonderful and natural atmosphere for me. Check out track "upstairs" for some crazy soundstage effects too (binaural?).
