HyperX Cloud vs Takstar Pro 80 - Are they really the same headphones?

I have both Takstar Pro 80 and HyperX Cloud at my disposal. They are both built by Takstar and I presume they use the same drivers (it just makes sense from a mass production perspective :-) but have different sound signatures. The Cloud's sound signature is slightly more bassy with recessed...

Does the devil wear Prada...or Phiaton?

Both Beats and Prada are tapping into a fashion/egoistic uninformed audio fan market that is probably bigger than the audiophile market out there. It's a sad truth. I've read somewhere that Beats is like the 3rd best selling headphone brand in US behind Sony and Bose, while SkullCandy isn't too...

Does the devil wear Prada...or Phiaton?

that's my question though, are people really going to buy those at $600? maybe when they compare them to the other prada items in the store they'll go "ahh, what an inexpensive headphone!"

Does the devil wear Prada...or Phiaton?

I know a Phiaton insider and indeed it's a Phiaton remake with the same PS320 driver with some altercations to the headband and some headpieces. I hope Phiaton doesn't cringe when they only receive a few orders per month from Prada.....who's gonna buy these?   Though I have to say that...

Question about Little Dot MKIII Gain settings

I've been playing with the LDMK3 and my Senn HD-600s and the gain settings. The funny thing is that each time I've changed the gain settings, the loudness stays pretty much the same. Meaning that I didn't need to adjust the pot settings after I've changed the gain. Usually that shouldn't be the...

Sound Quality Dilemma: Nexus S vs. Galaxy S vs. Desire S vs. iPhone 3GS

exactomento...that's what I did, as if you are really into high quality audio, you don't want all the stuff in your phone messing with the audio especially the wireless signals messing with my PA2V2 portable amp.

Superlux 668B way to increase comfort

The tissue mod will affect the SQ though. You have to put just enough in so that it adds distance from your ears and driver but not too much that it makes the sound a bit hollow.

Superlux 668B way to increase comfort

No one talked about it so I don't know if people noticed that the two top head-rests on the Superlux 668B can actually be adjusted by pulling it out or pushing it in?    Maybe I'm naive to think I'm the first one to notice this, but for those who didn't know about it, give it a try...it has...

    Sennheiser mods

reviving the discussion on those HD228s. ha. I just "astroid" modded mine and found it a little overly bright, so I've added some loose cotton in place of the original black felt and voila, great balance of treble/soundstage and improved sound!    Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Monster Beats By Dr.Dre Studio vs V-moda Crossfade LP vs Sennhesier HD428 review .

I have both the Beats and  the Senn HD448. The Senn HD448 comes from the same family and same driver design as the HD438 / 428. They  only differ in the flavor of the sound. The HD428s are more neutral, the 438s are more BASS heavy, and the 448s are more for stage sound and vocals. But I did...
