Where to send my vintage JVC VR-5660 to be cleaned/repaired
Hello all, I just signed up and need some advice. Back in the 70s before I was born, my dad sunk his money into things like his JVC VR-5660. It was top of the line back then as well as the JVC speakers he bought ($800 a piece). Growing up, we used this receiver and speakers on a regular basis...- 1Jason4U

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
A few months back, I went to use my Pro/4AAAs that I hadn't used in years (been in the family since when they first came out and still have th original box, papers, and extension cord), and they wouldn't work. I thought maybe it was my JVC VR-5660 receiver (hooked to my top of the line 70s...- 1Jason4U

IEMs for motorcycle riding
Yes, please revive this thread. Anyone have any new input into active noise cancelling IEMs? My pipes are loud on my harley and I always wear earplugs, so it'd be nice to be listening to tunes inside my ears instead of inside my head.- 1Jason4U

I bought the Nines from a guy on here and I love them. I think I'll be saving up my pennies to get these.- 1Jason4U

Noise isolating ear tips for Munitio Siti 9mm - need help finding some
Just bought a pair of Munitio Siti 9mm from PanamaHat here on head-fi and I have to say, the more I'm listening to them the more I like them. Thanks for the awesome sale! I was just thinking though, I'd love to use these when I go bike riding on my Harley. I usually use high NR earplugs to...- 1Jason4U

Quote: Thanks for the reply again. When I was talking about a "live performance", I wasn't talking about a recording of it. I meant at the actual concert. I like my little Bose ear buds, but I know that when I hear the recording, it can sound better than what I'm hearing out of the ear...- 1Jason4U

Quote: I hate to say it, but the only "ear buds" I've ever had are Bose (please don't throw rotten tomatoes at the screen). I also have their headphones too. I have a pair of my dad's old JBL headphones from the 70s, but I mainly use my bose ear buds. SO, that being said, I wouldn't...- 1Jason4U

I too am stuck on which ones to buy. I've never really had "good" IEMs. I've been a classical musician most of my life (violin/viola) in different symphony orchestras. I mainly listen to ambient music, 80s rock, as well as classical music in my spare time, so I'm looking for IEMs that fit this...- 1Jason4U

Which IEM is reccommended?
I too am stuck on which ones to buy. I've never really had "good" IEMs. I've been a classical musician most of my life (violin/viola) in different symphony orchestras. I love ambient music, 80s rock, as well as classical music. I've read great reviews on JH13/JH16 and the Heir Audios. I know...- 1Jason4U
