Stoner/Doom, ma'an. Represent, yo!

Yeah, it really is. I liken them to the old Delta/Chicago bluesmen. NO respect in the US, at the time, but the rest of the world gobbles it up. A lot of integrity, unity, and extremely friendly and cooperative musicians. Never mind that most of the audience on any given gig are members of other bands. Also, there seems to be WAY more female presence than any other form of metal I can think of. It's just a really cool scene.

Ironically, Stoner/Doom was probably even more helpful for me than AA/NA when I got clean 25 years ago! Yep- Kyuss kept me sober :D

Check my music preferences on my profile...love dem blues, though i have to admit I have a soft spot for Delta over Chicago, but would never kick The Windy city outta bed...Theres something about that swamp sound that gets me.

Yep ive noticed a lot of the fuzz bands have female vocalists. If you recall I asked you a few months back to recommend a few more as I had just discovered Book of Wyrms and Spacegoat.I seem to prefer the psychedelic sounding stuff more than the other...Actually listening to Electric Octopus as im typing this, which wouldnt have happened prior to me starting this thread.

For my 15th birthday my buddy dropped this on me.I recall opening the gift and thinking "Who the hell are The Scorpions"

Dropped the needle on the vinyl and havent looked back.
