@sdheadfi Can you tell me how you used the AK70 as a DAC for your iPhone? I am interesting in doing the same with my iPhone 7 but was not sure if it was possible.
Just use the apple CCK cable and regular micro usb cable. Set AK70 to DAC mode. You may have to provide power to the cck cable

There was some discussion whether 256gb cards work properly on the AK70 a while back and I can confirm the Samsung Evo 256 does work perfectly and all 5000+ songs I added show up. The card is close to full, with over 200gb of hi res music on it.

Same for me Samsung Evo 256 , newly full (>240Go of HD files) plus internal memory 40Go of music = 280Go total , and totally trouble free. :)))

Well... I found this beauty in red a couple of weeks ago. The color makes a difference more when you have two cases. Unfortunately after the new realease of the A&Ultimate SP1000 I have this on Craigslist NY with my AK320 if interested.

you probably need one of these cables:

original APPLE "Lightening to Camera adapter" (this is the only lightening cable that can transfer data. the other ones are for charging only)
or, you can try the FIIO L19 cable (but it is similar price to the "Lighening to CAMERA adapter".

Guys Im hoping someone can help me - Im tearing what's left of my hair out.

What are people's best methods of editing ID3 Tags and artwork once saved to the AK70's internal memory?

I have Media Monkey Gold but it cant read any artwork, Ive purchased DB Poweramp but it wont even recognise the player so no joy there.

Thoughts anyone??

Thanks

I would suggest editing with dBpoweramp (or free MP3Tag) on a PC first then transferring to internal memory. Surely good to keep a backup of all music off any DAP?

Hi guys , im considering to get the AK70 in the used market .

Anything else that i should know of ? Like does the battery drains alot quicker with age etc ?

Im selling my iFi iDSD Micro for the AK70 , for portability reasons . Im still alittle lukewarm on this decision . Hahaha !

If looking for a used ak70 not much goes wrong they have good battery 10 + hours screen on low is excellent. Very easy to read and navigate.
The only drawback is one micro sd slot.
Sound wise it is excellent to my ears imo.
