Hey all. Can anybody provide me with links to what cables I need to connect the fiio x5 v3 to my chord mojo. Apologies, if this is a silly question!

Dear friend,

You may need a custom-made 3.5mm TRRS to TRS coaxial adapter like @noobandroid mentioned for collecting the coaxial ports of X5IIIand mojo. Or you may choose our L21(http://www.fiio.net/en/products/50)+ the coaxial cable comes with the X5III for help.

Best regards

@FiiO
Can the setting "gear" wheel be there on the playing screen?

I like some of viper effects depending on genre i am listening to. And worse is if you went via , folder view, artist, album, disc no, song. you have to go back 4-5 times to reach to settings.

Is that a 3.5 to 3.5 cable. I have tried that and the on off switch on chord does not stay blue so no sound comes out.

A simple 3.5mm to 3.5mm will not work. The "pinout" is wrong.

This is what you need. Excuse the ugly cable. I put it together merely to test the functionality a couple of weeks ago.

Ah I see. So how would I connect my Sony xz smartphone to it? Again, apologies for asking loads but I want to use my mojo with several devices!

You want to connect your Sony XZ phone to your X5iii?

Then a USB Typc-C OTG to MicroUSB should work. I just tried that with my LG V20.

I was confused a little on that as well, but... you can use that "EXACT" cable... and connect your phone to the X5iii... which works. Hehe...

Oddly in the Mojo thread it's all sad Apple customers wishing they weren't. We are winning here.

One of the big reasons I don't go there too often now. I keep telling them to "suck it up" and get an Android or other based DAP and keep their phone for phone use.

Dear calmdown,

Sorry to hear about that. :triportsad:

Are you feeling something gets stuck when turning the volume wheel?

Best regards

Hi, I received mine yesterday and am enjoying the sound coming out of the device, but this is something I feel every time I turn the volume wheel. I was wondering if this is normal as many people say the volume wheel feels good but mine is loose on one side and gets stiff on the other side as I rotate.

I feel like the wheel is located off centre or something.

If the resistance I feel is supposed to be constant throughout the rotation I probably will get a replacement from Amazon so please let me know how you guys think.

Thank you in advance

Something I've not encountered before ...

With the current v1.1.5 firmware, and the latest TIDAL client update, I don't seem to be able to stream more than three-to-six tracks before the TIDAL client throws a "Network Connection Error".

If I switch to my iPhone, there are no issues. But with the X5iii + TIDAL streaming, it just keeps failing after a few tracks.

The X5iii is no more than six feet from the WiFi Access Point. This was not an issue before today. It's clearly NOT just a raw TIDAL issue. Working fine with iOS (iPad, iPhone), macOS and Roon.

Don't have another Android device to see if it's and Android/TIDAL issue rather than an X5iii/TIDAL issue.
