Best headphone of the past 2 years.....with poll
I used to own D7000, PS1000, HD800, ED8 and presently SR404LE. Compare between them, SR404LE still sound the most musical to me, follow by HD800.- ical

SPL Phonitor Impressions Thread
Quote: If you like SS amp, then the Stax 717 will be ideal. It one of the better amp that can drive the O2 well. I'm still very happy with mine.- ical

SPL Phonitor Impressions Thread
Quote: My preference is still towards Stax which is why I sold all my dynamics. To me, it just sound better in every way. Do note that the condition of O2mk1 ear pads play a very important role as it doesn't affect how it's sound. Replace a new one if you can. Sorry for OT.- ical

Spent more money on audio gear than music?
Presently about 3000 cd and 1500 vinyl. Definitely spent more on music than components.- ical

The Stax thread (New)
I've yet to hear the SRM-212 so can't comment. However, I do believe that 404LE still sound good. And it much easier to drive than O2. It's limited edition so get it before it's gone.- ical

You can check out the 404LE. It sound neutral with good bass. It does reminds me slightly of HE60 but with more punch.- ical

No problem bro, good stuff are meant to share. Right now, I'm too busy enjoying my music out of Stax than to write about it. In short, it's realistic, musical and affectionally. It's presentation is none that I heard of from any dynamic system. However, Stax is not for everyone so best to...- ical

Maybe I should just quit headphone and go Loudspeaker?
For me, headphone is for late nite listening without disturbing my family and when I'm in the mood for the live like experience, I'll go for speakers. I enjoy both like beer and wine.- ical
