DIY line driver circuit - help?
@kramer5150 Yeah, the board doesn't output past 0.9v on the output channels, which is disappointing. (BTW this is for a car audio setup) The deck has 4v preouts, which produced a clean, distortion-free signal that got loud when straight to my amp driving the front stage. ...- ilikepie116

Fostex T50RP headphones right angle mini jack
I have also been looking for a jack like this. I have a friend who wants me to "recable" his new t50RPs, but I told him that I need to get ahold of a right angle 3.5mm minijack that will fit snugly into the Fostex phones.- ilikepie116

DIY line driver circuit - help?
this is at least audio related DIY, and could have to do with headphones. :) but this is in fact for a MiniDSP / amp active setup. The miniDSP is only putting out 1v of audio signal. The amp I paired it up with need more line input voltage, maybe like 4v. I need to put together a...- ilikepie116

Koss PortaPro4AAA - DIY KOSS high-end dynamic headphone :)
I am using some microcell foam from an inkjet printer cartridge + some blu tak on the rear baffle. The SFI drivers I used need dampening to sound decent, IMO. Wonder if the portapro drivers you used would work in closed back..- ilikepie116

Grado SR80i detachable cable and sony cushions? Help!
You've already completed a good handful of mods available for the Grado SR80i's. Now, I don't own them, but I do know that they are dual-entry headphones, so you would need to purchase a "Y" cable of sorts... the Griffin cable won't work for these. I also would recommend sticking with the...- ilikepie116

Post pics of your builds....
I'm one for unusual, vintage, or creative builds. One design that's been on my mind for a while is headphones made from popsicle sticks! So I did it... The drivers are from the T50RP -- I would call 'em "Thundersticks" if I'm allowed to. :) Pictures of the build...- ilikepie116

Power small speakers
Well, the cable you have connecting the speakers should have three wires to connect, if you are connecting from a portable device. two for the left and right "positive", respectively and one for both "negative" connections on the speakers. Usually there are two wires inside a...- ilikepie116

Can someone explain this pin-out to RCA?
My guess is that pins 8-14 are all connected together (looks like it) for ground. if you use LINE OUT 1 and 2 TIP, that would go to the respective RCA left and right signal wires (inner core wire of RCA cable). Pin 10 would probably connect to both shield/grounds of the RCA cable break-out.- ilikepie116

Noob wire repair question...
First of all, plug the headphones into a different source. That way, you can narrow down the root issue. If it's the headphones.. It would be helpful to have a picture of the wiring inside the left headphone- ilikepie116
