Seems like lots of good things going on with the AR5000 from the video. Custom in-house designed headband and pads instead of oem/generic solutions for your first ever headphone release is a positive sign.

Sounds normal to me, have experienced similar. Something to consider would be to have the phones already on your head before plugging in.

Plus about 0.5cm of clearance between pad and metal grille in the ear cavity.
