Have you tried putting the olives onto your IEM's the opposite way? i.e. small end of the olive goes onto the IEM first. Try it out and see if it helps.

Perhaps you should look into the Futuresonics atrio m5/m8. I have a pair of them and the bass is really nice and deep without being muddy. There is a huge thread about these IEM's, so i suggest you read that thread.
