What's the best way to level out volume?

Ahh I see.. Well I'm not much of an audiophile at all. I use the iPod Nano 4G to listen to my tracks (which are mostly mp3 160kbps) and switch between the stock buds, Marshmallows, and KSC75s depending on how I feel. Is it possible for sound quality to go down if I actually decrease the dB?

What's the best way to level out volume?

After almost blowing out my eardrum earlier today, I think it's time to level out all of my music's volume. Does anybody know any good programs to do this? Thanks!

iPod Nano 4G vs. Sansa Fuze

I'm going to pick up one of these tomorrow and I'm just curious which of these you would choose. I currently have an iPod Nano 2g that I'm content with, but I'm tired of switching my music out so I'm looking for something bigger that could fit all of my tracks. My sister needs an mp3 player...

I'm wondering this as well. What other players are in the flash 8gb-32gb range?

    Looking for a small-sized 15gb+ player

I actually didn't notice much of a difference when I converted the WMAs to V2 MP3s... I'm not much of an audiophile anyways, my phones are KSC75s and FX33s.

    Looking for a small-sized 15gb+ player

The D2 looks like a great player, but it's probably more than I'm looking for. I'd rather go for the Fuze since it's a little smaller, lighter, and simpler to use. I'm also not in a rush to buy this player, so is there anything new in the upcoming months that I should wait for?

    Looking for a small-sized 15gb+ player

Wow that player looks perfect... After reading a couple reviews, I almost jumped on it right away. My only gripe is that the 8GB version only comes in silver, a black option would make it even better. I decided to convert my WMAs to MP3s since I could do so much more with them. Does anybody...

    Converting WMA > mp3...

Thanks for the assistance, everyone. I realized that I can't change the tags or volume of WMAs so I might end up converting them to mp3s. I'm no audiophile at all, the headphones I use are modded FX33s and KSC75s. If I convert my 128-192kbps WMAs to 160-192kbps mp3s, will I be able to notice...

    Looking for a small-sized 15gb+ player

Currently, I have a Zune 30, but I find it too large to carry around when walking to my classes... therefore I'm looking for something a little more compact. I have approximately 25gb of WMAs encoded at 128-192kbps. I would prefer a player that would play these WMAs so I wouldn't have to...

I have some 192kbps WMA files that I would like to convert to mp3 files. What's the best way to do this without sacrificing quality?

Which monthly music subscription service has the best quality music?

I'm looking into subscribing for a music service and was wondering which has the highest quality files? I'm not too concerned about the file types.

    Isolating head/earphones? (~$50)

Alrighht, I decided to go for the Marshmallows + Kramer's Mod + Shure E2C yellow/orange foams. I have a question about the foams, though: I see on Amazon they come in different sizes (Small, Medium, Large). Which one should I get? I'm thinking the medium ones..? Amazon.com: Shure EA210M...

    Isolating head/earphones? (~$50)

Thanks for the responses! Some of these are a little over my budget.. or maybe I'm not looking in the right places. Also, the most important thing for me is isolation; my dorm can be crazy loud sometimes.. I know this is being real cheap, but I'm looking into the JVC FX33 and Creative...

    Isolating head/earphones? (~$50)

Heyy, everyone. I'm looking for a set of isolating headphones or earphones around $50 for when I'm studying/working out. It doesn't really matter which type, just as long as they sound better than iBuds/Zune Buds and are comfortable. I mostly listen to Alternative/Punk Rock and R&B/Hip-Hop.

Looking for in-ear headphones for my Zune

Thanks for the responses, and Happy New Year! I have a question about file formats and quality: Let's say I have some music in 192kbps WMA, would it lose a lot of quality if I converted it to 192kbps mp3 or even 160kbps mp3? I'm wondering because I read that 96kbps WMA = 128kbps mp3, and...

Looking for in-ear headphones for my Zune

Alrighht! I think I'm going for the Zune 30GB + Yuin PK3. Noise-isolation isn't a big deal for me, just as long as it sounds clear and doesn't have overpowering bass. I'm not very fond of the J-shape, though.. I prefer the Y-shape. I'm just curious.. are my 160 kbps mp3s even worthy of the...

Also, is Zune really...

Looking for in-ear headphones for my Zune

Thanks for the responses, everyone. Yeah.. I'm a freshman in college and don't have the money to get better headphones unfortunately. I never really considered myself an audiophile anyways, heh. My past players were a Zen Micro and iPod Nano 2g with stock buds. I'm thinking of going for the...

Looking for in-ear headphones for my Zune

After looking around this forum a bit, I decided to purchase a Zune.. I heard it was the best-sounding player (30GB) for around $150. I'm looking to spend around $50 on earbuds (doesn't matter if they're noise-isolation or not) to replace the stock Zune ones. I listen to a broad range of music...
