  I agree that the T1's have a better soundstage presentation no doubt. They are more precise in their placement of the instruments but the 770's are not far behind. Very close imho.

Everything! I listen to Trance and Rock with a little classical and I think the sound is awesome for all the music I like to listen to.   Bass: I think it has the perfect amount of bass (not the exaggerated bass some of the Beats have for example.) but it is solid and goes deep as well.  ...

That's strange you can't play the 770's 250 ohm of your Fiio. I can play them just fine from my laptop.

In deference to Mad Max the 770's are better than just an ok all-rounder. They are sometimes amazing to the point I get down and bow down to them!

What I like about these is that they are easy to drive compared to the T1's. I can go straight out of my laptop with these no problem.   If I had the money I would have the T1's for the house with a tube amp. And have the DT-770's for everything else.....

I'm happy to report my new hp laptop sounds pretty good......    I was scared at first cuz it had some enhancement software mucking up the sound, but once disabled and a couple hours of burn-in we are good to go.

  I'm getting a new HP laptop. Hopefully it sounds as good with 770's as my old one did or I'm going to be bummed! It's a crapshoot when it comes to laptop audio.

DW75 I tried the Eq you recommended and I like it. I'm going to try it for a few days and post back.

I would gladly pay $230 for these. It's still a bargain when you consider they sound better than most other headphones.

I think it would depend on the type of music you listen to. I think they are not overly bassy like the Sennheiser HD-650 for example and most Beats. For me they have the perfect amount of bass for my type of music. Which is mainly rock and electronic.   I don't even have an Eq on them either...
