So checking again. The volume on my BoomPro was all the way up. So media bridge is still significantly louder. However, the boompro still sounds good once you turn the volume up a bit and from what i'm told by people on the other end the mic quality fantastic.

  I know I turned it all the way up, however now you got me curious. I'll try it again tonight. Maybe it got bumped while I was switching cables to compare. Could be a DUH moment on my part lol.   The BoomPro is great with these headphones though. Perfect little gaming setup.

I just compared the v moda boom pro with the media bridge cable I got from Amazon. Coming straight out of my macbook The V Moda cable is VERY quiet.   I'm talking like 30% quieter than the media bridge.   Strange.

Jeez. Tough crowd. It was a poor word choice I guess. I'm new here. Didn't realize it was such a such a negative phrase. Let me fix that for ya. There's a noticeable difference between the two. Besides. I made it a point to say the stock cable didn't sound bad.

There's the V moda cables. Media Bridge is cheap and the quality is actually pretty nice.

Mine came in on saturday. So far so good. VERY happy with them for movies and gaming. Bass goes down nice and low with a decent rumble to it but it doesn't mask over the highs. Music sounds nice and smooth on them. The soundstage/imaging is excellent! Again good solid bass but still nice mids...

As for the cable. I first plugged it in with the stock one and thought "man these guys are crazy. This cable is fine".   After that I switched to the media bridge cable I ordered..... Night and day difference.  The volume and punchiness of the sound was immediately noticeable. It's not to say...

It is. I also heard that the 4 shot transmitter was stereo only. I can't find a definitive answer though.

I'd love to hear these at some point. However I can't help but think it looks like someone has two apple mice stuck to their heads ;)

I'd love to see/hear your take on the Samson SR850.   I've been using it for gaming and it's quite good at what it does especially for being a $50 headphone. (we'll see how it compares to the X1's i just ordered).  Nice soundstage, clean highs and good sub bass.      Also, this thread is...

New here. Thanks guys for all the great information in this thread.    I've had these in my amazon cart for the last 2 weeks. Saw it drop to 249 this morning and pulled the trigger. Can't wait to hear them.
