The Apex Teton Review and Impressions Thread
Thanks my friend, and I see, if you like the density of the sound, then ECC32 is a good choice. But it is a bit boring to my taste.- chengka7

The Apex Teton Review and Impressions Thread
I do not like ECC32 on Teton, I vastly prefer Sylvania 6F8G or 6sn7 Sylvania metal base. They are more engaging than ECC32 mullard, and also faster and more dynamic.- chengka7

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
Hmm, thanks for the reply guys, it helps a lot. My DAC only has SE output, maybe that is the reason. I have my HE-6 coming tomorrow, I will see how it pairs with my Rag. Thanks again for all the help.- chengka7

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
I think my Rag is wired. I used my Alpha Prime on my Rag, I use high gain, with my normal listening volume, it pushes the volume knob to 1 o'clock. But Alpha Prime is only 90db/mw, and it is over 12 o'clock on high gain for HD800. Can anybody share some info here on the position of the volume...- chengka7

what is the position of the volume know when you guys are using HE6? I used my Alpha Prime which is 90db sensitivity. But my normal listening level put the knob on almost 2 o'clock position.- chengka7

The Apex Teton Review and Impressions Thread
You guys can try sylvania 6SN7 metal base, it is more harsh sounding than Sylvania 6f8g, but definitely my favorite. It is super fast and dynamic. The bass is so good. Sound is very spacious and engaging than any other tubes I tried. Sylvania 6F8G is more refined but less dynamic and a little...- chengka7

It is not the impedance of the headphone, it is the sensitivity that matters more. You can have low impedance headphone with very low sensitivity.- chengka7

DNA Stratus 2A3 amplifier - first impressions
I will assume you are saying the tubes sound almost the same, but if you are saying those two amps are the same then..... If you say those two amps are equally well I can understand, but if you say you cant identify the difference then I could not understand. I owned those two, and the...- chengka7

Thanks for the clarification Sir:D. I am really satisfied with the customer service you and Rob provided. And after upgrade, my DAC sounds so incredibly. One of the most noticeable improvement is the sound stage. It is so much wider and taller than before. I also tried with Psvane WE 101d, holy...- chengka7

That's is for my Big 7, big seven used to use 6x5 rectifier, recently Lukasz upgrade them to use 274b type rectifier(the so-called big bottle). I think some level 6 DAC also starts using 274b type rectifier- chengka7

I think you can remove the sticker, because I accidentally broke the sticker of mine, and I asked NA distributor if this avoids warranty, they told me it is fine as long as you have the warrenty certificate, that sticker is for the first 15 days trial period I guess. Because I just had my B7...- chengka7

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Lol, I used my HD800 as main headphones, and I never think HD800 lacks ability playing Linkin Park well. It depends on the choice of your headphone amplifier. If you want to make your HD800 sound euphoric but at the same time has lots of weight, DNA Stratus is a great choice. And if you do...- chengka7

The Official Eddie Current FOUR 45 Thread
Just want to make some comments here. The DAC I used with 445 is Lampizator B7 which is supposed to be a smooth DAC unless mine is different from others', I only used dCS on 445 once. The details for Teton is really exceptional. I really did state in one of my PM that Teton has better details...- chengka7
