Schiit Modi USB DAC
I know this is a whole other topic that can be discussed in lengthy segments, but I just have this simple question. What should I keep my sample rate as? Most of the stuff I listen to is 24/44 but I also have some higher quality media. Thanks.- axizor

Amp for Sansa Clip+
Sorry for resurrecting a dead thread, but what could you guys recommend today for 250ohm phones (DT990)? I want a nice amp under $100 for my new Clip+. I want something that will be able to fit in my pocket. I was thinking about the E07K. Do I need an amp/dac combo or is just an amp...- axizor

Asus Xonar DG + 250 ohm DT990 pro's ?
I have the DGX (same as DG, only with PCIE interface.) I just ordered DT990s (250ohm) and they'll be here Monday - if you can't find info anywhere else and don't mind waiting a few days, I'll let you know what I think of them with the DGX. Personally, I think the DGX will be able to drive...- axizor

Need <$150 AMP for 250ohms
I am in the US. Thanks for your recommendations. I'll look more into those two. Perhaps your right in regards to looking for something that is overkill, I just want to make sure that I don't get something that can barely can make it.- axizor

Bravo Audio - funny looking little tube amps
I'm thinking about the Indeed G3. Is that the best choice for the ~$100 price range? Is the factory tube good enough? If not, what tube would you guys recommend? I want something with good bass, but still good in the other areas. Thanks- axizor

Need <$150 AMP for 250ohms
Hi I'm looking for a decent headphone amp that can sufficiently power a pair of DT990 250ohms for under $150, closer to $100 would be nice. I want something with plenty of power, not something that just barely makes the cut. I tend to listen to music rather loud. I've looked at a few...- axizor

Your thoughts on a few phones
Quote: Thank you and everyone else for your replies. 1. I have no preference whether open or closed. 2. Computer- Xonar DG -desktop amp (idk which one yet) or a separate dac and amp (seeking some advice on amps/dacs too) 3. No, not portable. But certainly comfortable. ...- axizor

Your thoughts on a few phones
I understand that these phones probably aren't as "overpowering" as the SRH750 when it comes to bass. From doing all my research on phones, the general consensus I gathered was that these phones don't lack in bass (especially the DT770s). But, I could be wrong. I haven't listened to them...- axizor

Your thoughts on a few phones
Hello Head-Fi! After browsing the forums for about a year now, I thought it was time to make an account. I'm looking for a new set of cans. I bought my first pair, Shure SRH750s, about a year ago. I love them and they sound great with my music (hip hop, electronic, dub step, alternative...- axizor
