JH Audio JH13 v2
CareyPrice31, I can't really say to be honest. Seeing that kind of detail into them is tough with the relatively dark blue I like. From what I can see, the insides are built with extreme care and attention to detail.- bwaterme

JH Audio JH13 v2
Oh I would have zero concern on the treble. I would say it is as good or better. I actually find that I am listening at a lower volume level since the treble is perfectly crisp even with added bass.- bwaterme

JH Audio JH13 v2
Regarding sound quality. There is no doubt these monitors are amazingly precise. If you liked the sound signature of the original, you will love these. I am amazed at the ability to add bass (+5 db or even slightly more) with zero degradation of the other frequencies. Maybe at 3/4 max bass...- bwaterme

JH Audio JH13 v2
As you can see from the pics, the connectors are the same as the Siren series. The steel tube wave guides make the exit point much more defined and easier to clean.- bwaterme

JH Audio JH13 v2
V2s arrived today. Some initial impressions. My guess is that a lot of this feedback is already captured by those with Siren Series in ears. 1. Love the new case. I never loved the Pelican case with velvet bag inside. That always seemed like a make shift solution versus a true custom...- bwaterme

Here is what they sent to JH Crew members: "Last year, Jerry developed all new Balanced Armature drivers and crossover circuits that went into the Siren Series Layla and Angie IEMs. These IEMs have had unprecedented success in both the Pro and Consumer markets; in fact, the Layla is...- bwaterme

JH Audio JH13 v2
Hi all. I'm not a regular poster but do read the threads a decent amount. I have looked, but do not see any discussions about the new JH13 v2 that is coming out. If there already is a discussion, my apologies. Please direct me to it. They announced it to "JH Crew" members and gave us the...- bwaterme

JH 16 VS JH 13 HELP~~
I struggled with the same decision. Ultimately I chose the JH13s. I thought I wanted the more neutral sound signature, but I find myself bumping up the lows with an eq quite a bit. Not sure had I gotten the 16s that it would be any different regarding bumping up the bass slightly. I...- bwaterme

+1 on 3M dual lock low profile. I use it to attach my iPod Classic to my JDS C5. Works like a champ.- bwaterme

JDS Labs C5/C5D (pg96) portable amp/amp+DAC
I'm going to add my 2 cents here regarding the bass boost. Keep in mind I am a rookie. I like the bass boost quite a bit. It adds quite a lot to my JH13 listening experience. I use the bass boost about 50% of the time. If an already heavy bass song come on my iPod, I quickly turn it...- bwaterme

Quote: Agree with randomkid. I've only had it for a week. Wrapping up my 4 flight travel week and haven't had a single instance of an incidental volume change. I put it in my slacks pocket, my snugger jean pockets, shirt pocket, and laptop bag. All good!- bwaterme

JDS Labs C5/C5D (pg96) portable amp/amp+DAC
Got mine today from my wife for my 40th Bday. This is my first amp so I have nothing to compare it to. To me it sounds great and the bass boost is a little addictive. I think I may be a closet bass head as it turns out. My wife even noticed that her Etymotics sounded way better out of the C5...- bwaterme

Etymotic hf3 cable
If they are in warranty period I hear Etymotics is good about replacing them for free. Otherwise these phones don't have a replaceable cable. If you want Etymotics with replaceable cables, I think only the ER-4 series is the only option.- bwaterme

Urbeats sound quality
A lot of places will let you demo earphones. Nobody loves the idea, but with the use of rubbing alcohol it is less gross. Try them out. If you like the way they sound and look, and it is within your budget, go for it. Yes, there are people that will tell you that you can get more for your...- bwaterme

IEMs between $100 and $200?
I am no expert, but have had quite a few sets of universal in ear monitors. For the money, I don't think there is much out there better than Etymotics Hf3s. That version will give you a mic, and you can find for less than 150 on amazon. It is a neutral sound, but can handle a bass boost. I...- bwaterme
