Audio-gd NFB-28
For DAC/HP toggle, it goes(H)eadphones, (P)re-amp (variable), and (d) which sounds like line level out from DAC. Does removing that jumper remove the (d) from my DAC/HP toggle?- ruinevil

Cleer Announces NEXT, IE Sports and BT Speaker @ CES 2017
I'm assuming low impedance and low sensitivity. The Sony amp they had the NEXT at CanJam connected to made them sound bass-less and emphasized the treble... so I'm assuming a damping mismatch. It did sound tonally much better with my Galaxy S4, but really quiet. The Sony amp also broke the...- ruinevil

So I just got a NFB-28 from 2014 or 2015 with the VIA USB32 chip... it randomly goes quiet. It will go back to the previous level if I move the volume knob up and then down one click.- ruinevil

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
The main reason I'd get the Jotunheim would be to preamp my studio monitors. Is the noise floor between the Modi multibit and Jotunheim low enough to prevent the buzz. I know using balanced outputs from audio interfaces will prevent it.- ruinevil

KSC75 in iGrado body
No. I am not putting the only Koss drivers in... I am put essentially the entire Koss body without the pads or grills. So I think the Grado drivers would be too big for Koss body.- ruinevil

The Nelson Pass electrostatic speakers gave him ozone poisoning.... but he says they sounded awesome. It could have been the oxygen depletion causing auditory hallucinations though.- ruinevil

The DT770 pads would be damaged on slightly larger HD681, but they probably fit the HD660 just fine. I'm assuming the DT990 pads aren't much different. DT770 pads have a locking ledge that holds it on. The 681 stock pads are basically held on through elasticity.- ruinevil

Is the Beyer DT880 600 ohm good for rock/metal + gaming?
With rock, pretty much any headphone works. It's mostly in the high bass to low treble, with a little cymbal in the extreme highs and a some bass drum in the bass. If you can do detailed mids, you are fine. Most rock doesn't screw around with soundstage too much either. The DT990 is the...- ruinevil
