They have been discontinued for a while now.  Your local Craigslist may turn up a set once in a great while.   They also come up on eBay too, but the set is heavy and will cost a lot to ship, domestic or otherwise.

I was randomly perusing through YouTube the other night for music videos and I couldn't help but post this video of a younger Stevie Wonder rocking to "Superstition" with what appears to be white Sennheiser HD-414's... as studio monitors?!  That's pretty awesome!  

I doubt you'll be able to find most of the headphones talked about here at chain stores.  Local audio and/or video shops are probably your best bet.   I used some Google-Fu and found Audio Visions and they carry the Grado line and a portion of the Sennheiser line. If you Google map them...
