Question about iRiver IMP-400
I have an IMP-350, but it should be the same. It'll stop discharging after it's done, but it'll immediately start to recharge. And I think this thing is on a timer, because if you charge again after it's done recharging (which will auto turn off), then it will recharge for the same amount of...- aznhoward

mx500 2 foams
Is it just me, or do other people use 2 foams on each earpiece for the mx500? I think the bass comes out much better and highs are less harsh. I'm using a pair of stock foams from the mx500 package, and a pair that i got from the slimx. The only bad thing is that it makes the earbuds fall out...- aznhoward

Senn PX200 - WOW!
AFAIK the new sennheiser 'phones are not available in the US right now. They are available in other countries, which is why some other people got them already. I am still waiting on an email from sennheiser about an estimated date for the US, but they haven't replied (i even sent out two to...- aznhoward

EAC help
Never mind, I checked out that forum and found the solution to my problem. What I did was download and put Nero's winaspi32.dll inside the EAC program directory, and then went to: EAC options > interface tab > installed external ASPI interface Thanks for telling me about the forum!- aznhoward

EAC help
I'm on this step on that tutorial: "Insert an audio CD in the device you want to setup. After a few moments EAC will list the CD contents on the main screen. It should look like the screenshot below." However, I don't even see a list of the CD contents in ANY of my music CDs. The music CD...- aznhoward

EAC help
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, as I'm not sure which this would go to. But anyways, I can't seem to setup EAC properly (none of the files on the cd show up.) First of all, I'm using EAC v0.9 beta 4 (latest as of 11/8/02). I first went to EAC>Configuration Wizard. Then, I clicked next...- aznhoward

MP3/CD player craze
Taking a look at the spec sheet, ( http://www.philipsusa.com/global/b2c...431_us_lft.pdf ) it seems that the output power is only 3mW, and the signal to noise ratio is " >80 " Seems like the SlimX is still a better option IMO with 12 mW output power and a signal to noise ratio of 90dB.- aznhoward

look in to the power of zen
Although the Zen may not be "better' (many people still like the iPod better), I am for the zen too. It beats the iPod in every aspect except the bigger screen, SLIGHTLY smaller size, and the great track wheel. The zen is not smaller than the iPod... that's for sure. And the zen is also...- aznhoward

Headbuds ... whats the best?
Umm.... "headbuds"??... or do you mean "earbuds"? If you're talking about earbuds, and you don't need isolation, people here seem to like the Sennheiser MX500 a lot. It's only about 20 bucks USD.- aznhoward

Help: Grado SR60 vs. Portapro
Are the portapros advisable for use on an airplane? Will they leak and disturb other people while at a level flight at normal listening levels? (It's been awhile since the last time I was on a plane; kinda forgot how loud the airplane is while in the cabin)- aznhoward

Well, that avatar reminds me of one of those chinese burgers. ex70 and vx-100/hp-v600
Which are better: mdr-ex70lp or vx-100/hp-v600? Excessive bass isn't that much of a concern as long as it's "quality" bass (dont know how to describe it) as that's one of the main points of the music i listen to: trance/techno/dance. The only 'phones i've listened to so far (that are actually...- aznhoward

Looking to buy a CD/MP3 Player
If you want to jog with an MP3/CD player, your best bet would probably be the Sony dcj01 as it has the best antiskip protection in that market. Otherwise, a flash memory based player will suit jogging very well, but the amount of songs you can store is decreased. The SlimX is still good in terms...- aznhoward

good ol' er-6 questions
What about the MDR-EX70LP? How is it compared to the mx500s? I've heard that they have "boomy bass," but I can't really visualize what that means. Does the boomy bass sound like the KSC-35s? If not, then are they at least suitable for dance/trance music (lots of bass)? Thanks again...- aznhoward
