60hz Powerline buzz picked up by UNPLUGGED headphones??

I just rewired and packed the cans on a set of stanton dynaphase 60 headphones.  Now i'm picking up a 60hz buzz in each ear, with the headphones UNPLUGGED.  I can hear it when i get closer to a dimmer switch, or if someone turns on the light. it is very apparent.  Is there any way to prevent...

Is there a desktop headphone amp buyer's guide? Or alternatively, recommendations?

I dont mind a little coloration if it enhances the listening experience. What are people's thoughts on the Schiit Magni vs the Vali? Is the "tube sound" worth an extra 20$? Or would somethign else be better?

Is there a desktop headphone amp buyer's guide? Or alternatively, recommendations?

Those both look pretty good. I dont know how much it matters, but I listen to a lot of electronic music at high bitrates. Everything from chillout, to drum and bass, to psytrance, and such like that. It seems a lot of the amps I find dont do very well with bass, and for me that is an important...

Is there a desktop headphone amp buyer's guide? Or alternatively, recommendations?

    Fiio E11 Repair and/or Modification?

Well i just managed to get the board out without damaging it. Turns out you do need to desolder the volume pot. It actually wasnt difficult. At least now i can repair the flaky input jack.

    Fiio E11 Repair and/or Modification?

I have a Fiio E11 amp I bought used over a year ago.  The input jack has a broken solder joint and will only work if it is pressed on in a certain way.  The issue I'm coming across is, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the board out of the shell. I got both covers off, screws...

Okay, so I've been traipsing around this forum for a bit trying to figure out what I should pick up to replace my modified Shure E2C IEMs. I was given a pair of the E2Cs a few years back and I loved them. I ended up wearing out the cord as anyone who has owned E2Cs knows, so i recabled them and...

Finally rewired my Shure E2C IEMs.  Mogami W2929 wire sheathed in green military paracord. Neutrik connectors again.  Used a 6mm Neutrik barrel as a cinch too, adds a nice touch i think.
