Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Yeah, there came a time when I was at my most active here on this forum where I started questioning my choices regarding audio and what's important. I did have some fun with tip rolling, discovering and collecting gear. My Sonys fulfill the majority of my needs. That being said, I do fancy some...

That warranty is a must-have, I suppose. It covers the display from wear and tear as well? LOL, this may be a blasphemy on this forum, but nowadays my music is more or less 100% from Spotify through either Sony 1000xm3 or D2000 on my desktop.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

While I'm an iPhone nutcase, I have to admit, that solution looks ingenius and well thought out. I assume there's a foldable display inbetween there somewhere? That always got me worried about the longevity of them. I know they're plastic but still, there has to be thousands of micro cracks...

Cable Burn In with regard to Audio Directionality.

Whoah whoah, is that smiley a threat of assault? Rosewood is not THAT important, is it? I am fine with a luxury case of birch, if it's waxed so much it shines. :triportsad: Fine. I've bought thicc audiophile grade USB cables that needs some autoclave burn in soon.

Cable Burn In with regard to Audio Directionality.

That one is fine for mid-fi crap, tops. For summit-fi equipment you need the industrial one. That one is good for maybe 34 dB/m. You want to be able to hear the music the way it was intended, right?

Cable Burn In with regard to Audio Directionality.

Huh. I always burn my HDMI cables in, bidirectionally, before even thinking of watching a movie through them. Same with my USB cables that go into my DAC/AMP. It sounds much warmer and gets rid of the ol' dreaded sibilance issues.

So, some of you have been curious about me. Well, I survived.   I survived.   And I changed jobs, now making $9000 more a year.

Head-Fi Basshead IEM thread (lists page 1)

I ordered the Rose Aurora. I'm quite satisfied with what I have, but sure enough I wanted something new. It also means I should take the time to update my profile here..   I am honestly quite satisfied with these: http://www.project-extreme.com/headphones/sx550-titanium-headphones.php   They...

    Cowon J3 Impressions Thread

Still have mine. It's probably the last pure dap I'll own. The improving sq of phones coupled with streaming services and other bonuses make daps obsolete for me. The j3 is still a great dap though.

The MMA thread (Affliction, UFC, DREAM, Strikeforce, etc.)

Yep. That's pretty much the blueprint to every dangerous striker. That being said, what makes Rumble a little more exciting is that he actually can wrestle himself. Of course, DC is on another level, but still .. he would have to adjust to that bomb and not leaving his chin out there when going...

The MMA thread (Affliction, UFC, DREAM, Strikeforce, etc.)

We share opinions on this. I mean, the fight was exciting. I really thought Conor won, but it was close and really back and forth and both showed that they belong in there at a main event giving us amazing fights to remember. Also, both have deserved whatever good that comes off this fight -...

Knocks him down 3 times...   It wasn't a BS decision. McGregor won that fight, even though it was close.

    Are we getting old?

Wiki says:   So it seems like I'm Gen X to some, and Gen Y to others, some inbetweener so to say.   But yeah, it was a fun coincidence. Our dialogue really got me thinking about it. It's not like it's a big deal, but I got curious about it. I think objectively that 20-something is still...

Didn't know about him, thanks. I usually listen to more "pure" chiptunes like..       Luckily Sweden has myriads of great chiptune artists.

    Are we getting old?

This age thing is rather peculiar. It's so relative. However, there has to be some kind of objective measurement to this.   I believe I am part of Generation X (born 1980), and I still feel so young despite turning 36 this year. Am I a grown up? Am I getting old? What do you say?   How old...

You're not supposed to forget the Atari 2600! Blasphemy!    My god has graphics taken a turn for the better. I remember a basketball game on the Atari. Wow. Just look at it:     I also remember Pitfall II.     As for the Commodore, of course I enjoyed the usual suspects when it came...

Are you a console or PC gamer?

I'd say both of them. I own a gaming PC (with an i5, gtx 970, 16 gigs of RAM and gaming peripherals like mech keyboards, three of them, and 300+ games on steam and several more on origin, uplay and gog - I guess you could say I have built this machine towards gaming mostly) and an Xbox 360 with...

Yesterday I started a new game on my work laptop and I spawned on a planet filled with gold. Woop woop. I had 1.5 million units before I started fixing my ship LOL After the GOG update I can now run it flawless. Really, really smooth and fluid graphics now. Again, I'm not going to use fraps or...

    The No Man's Sky Thread

Personally I love the game. It's become one of my favorite games. Also, it works for me, on PC. I've had a few moments of stutter, but not even close to make an impression on me. As for repetitiveness, sure, there is some but if you like doing what you do it becomes less of a negative thing and...
