Shure SE535 or Grado GR10e?
I should add that I've got a set of AT ESW9As, which I really like - a nice warm sound that seems to suit the type of music I listen to.- EdChap

Shure SE535 or Grado GR10e?
Hi there, I managed to lose my HiFiman RE262s on holiday recently, and am now looking to replace / upgrade them. I have seen recommendations for both the Shure SE535 and Grado GR10e and wondered whether there was a clear consensus as to which are the best value for money (or alternatively...- EdChap

This thread is awesome. So detailed. Having difficulty knowing which are best unamped in the 150-250 range, though?- EdChap

$150-250 un-amped IEM for Josh Ritter, The National, Springsteen, et al.
Oh hai! I'm looking for a portable IEM that I can listen to to and from work, powered by my iPhone. I read through the Multi-IEM Review thread and picked out a few possibles (HiFiMan 262/272, AudioTechnica ATH-CK10) but wanted to double check before I took the plunge. A few reviews of the...- EdChap

Hard Case for Audio Technica ESW9A?
Hi guys, I have been rocking the AT ESW9As for a couple of months now and am absolutely in love with them. Thank you so much for all your help in deciding which phones to get. I am about to go away for 5 weeks and will be travelling by air and bus. I would really like to find a...- EdChap

BitPerfect (was: Audirvana Alternatives)
Agentism... any ideas why my BP is so laggy? It's fine on 320 tracks, but FLAC converted tracks (using Fluke) slows the whole thing right down...- EdChap

BitPerfect (was: Audirvana Alternatives)
Quote: Quote: The version I was using is 0.29, I haven't been able to find .30 to upgrade yet. Yeh, the lag is actually pretty bad... it can take up to 5 seconds for iTunes to respond when BP is running.- EdChap

I read most of this thread, but may have missed something... Is it only me that finds that BP makes iTunes very laggy? As in, buttons don't respond for a good few seconds, etc. I'm running a decent MBP with FLAC files put into iTunes using Fluke...- EdChap

Quote: I find myself leaning slightly towards the 1350s now! Argh, I am the least decisive person in the world when it comes to headphones. I think I'm only leaning that way because of looks, too... When you say lean and precise, does that mean they're slightly lacking in warmth...- EdChap

Quote: It's awesome that you've heard every set I'm considering... let's just hope you're not totally tone deaf ;-). I think I'm going to bite the bullet and order the 2000s this morning... T50ps sound decent, but the V shaped response probably isn't the best for male...- EdChap

Koss KSC75 but more portable?
I've read a fair bit about the Koss KSC75s and how good they are for the price, but I was wondering whether there was a more pocketable alternative at a similar price? Perhaps a set of ear buds that I could simply jam into my bag/back pocket and not worry about breaking? Ideally they could be...- EdChap

I'm still trying to decide on my first set of proper cans (can't seem to settle on any one can long enough to pay for them, ha). I started by looking at the B&W P5s, and have since gone from the Beyer T50p (which are still an option given how portable/easy to drive they are), ATH M50s to the...- EdChap

Nervous first-time buyer... I fear this may be an expensive post.
Quote: Thanks for this. I've been leaning towards a Shure SRH880 or ATH M50, but as above the Grados do appeal... especially the 225s if they're particularly good for my purposes. I wonder whether they would be the next step after an entry can like the 880/M50...- EdChap
