DUNU releases EST 112, a triple hybrid in-ear with dual electrostatic tweeters
I did experience that same kind of effect with my Tab S7+ on the USB C port, I'm going to give the 3.5mm and see if the noise floor goes down a tad. I mean they are still amazing just annoying that turning the volume knob 1mm is almost twice as loud- Sphinx

DUNU releases EST 112, a triple hybrid in-ear with dual electrostatic tweeters
Received the EST 112 and they do sound rather spectacular, question for you guys, I'm using it with an ifi hip dac connected to my iPhone 11 pro and I'm noticing noise on the 4.4mm connection when I load my music app, I've also noticed that I barely turn the volume knob when playing muisc. Headphone limitations and when to draw the line on Source components
After long hours and research I ended up with the Marantz NA6005, and purchased the FocusPad-A which are amazing. All together it's a very nice combo, really opened up the HE-5LE and gave a much more vast sound stage. Sound placement also improved a great deal. The Headphone amp in the Marantz...- Sphinx

Headphone limitations and when to draw the line on Source components
So after long reading its safe to assume that if I went with the Chord MOJO that I wouldn't be leaving anything behind with my headphones. As opposed to going with let's says a audio quest dragonfly red and wanting more. You guys think that's a safe assumption. I have ordered the focus pad-A...- Sphinx

Headphone limitations and when to draw the line on Source components
I'm currently looking for a good source to pair with my HE-5LE/EF5 combo. What I'm wondering is at what point am I spending beyond my headphones capabilities. I'm looking at units such as the Chord MOJO and A&k AK100II. But am I spending to much and would I be better off with lower end stuff as...- Sphinx

emotivas new stealth 8 powered monitors any impressions?
Figured I may as we'll chime in seeing as I've owned the stealth 8 speakers for almost a year now. As stated above the bass is something to take into consideration when buying these speakers. I was torn between the 6 and 8 for a while before purchase as I had a totem storm sub which uses a 8"...- Sphinx

Where has time GONE...
Wow has time past, I've been frequenting and participating on this site for years and recently find it next to impossible to keep up with how HUGE the scene has gotten. I remember back in the day when there was maybe 10 manufactures making headphones and the TOTL stuff was etymotic for IEM and...- Sphinx

emotivas new stealth 8 powered monitors any impressions?
The AMT does a great job of with the 8" woofer. I can say from personal experience that everything that burson is saying is true. It took months for my stealthy to open up. But now the sound that I'm getting from them is spectacular. And if for some reason you are really afraid of the 8" just...- Sphinx

Electronic Music Exchange (House, DnB, Dubstep, etc.)
I agree about the Savant stuff, I stumbled across him listening to Infected Mushroom and Friends Vol 2. Then I went and snagged a bunch of his albums. Great music and sound even better on great full range speakers. -

For the time being it would be for my Speakers, I do plan on getting back into headphone listening but for now I'm going to concentrate on getting my source equipment the best I could afford and go from there.- Sphinx

Musiland Monitor 01 USD 24/192 USB to SPDIF
I know this is an old thread but I'm wondering if someone could help me out. I just recently got a monitor 01 USD, and today received the license key. Studio Monitors
Being in Australia I wonder if pricing on Event speakers may be better check them out they have a good reputation in the forums. I own a pair of Emotiva's studio speakers and I'm very impressed with there sound. Although its probably a lot easier for me being in Canada.- Sphinx

Bookshelves vs. Satellites & Sub
Have you looked at the Emotiva airmotiv speakers or Adam Audio F series I herd the later at a guitar center and the bass was rather impressive. Most subs that I've come across with a high level out are over $500, with that said I think a budget of $300 to $500 will be necessary if you want...- Sphinx

New Speakers to complement my Totem Storm
Unfortunately that's the response I feared. I herd the focals at CES and fell in love with them, I hear so many good things about the Adams and the emotiva speakers I wanted to get some opinions. If you look at the equipment that I've owned I'm all to familiar with crappy sources etc... spent...- Sphinx

New Speakers to complement my Totem Storm
I'm actually looking at getting an active setup as I don't want to spend more on amplifiers. Integration with an active setup would be alot easier and take up less space.- Sphinx
