Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
Ok, guys! I listened to Audeze lcd xc, a quite more expensive headphone compared to dt1770. Both are closed. And I have to admit that the lcd xc has the upper hand when it comes to resolution. But really, I lacked the bass (comparatively speaking), the warmth and liveliness. Honestly, I felt...- headed

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
What about the Soundblaster E5? I have it for dt 1770. It has enough power for ANY need and an advanced EQ and audio enhancements app with it. It connects either directly or via bluetooth and is natively driven through IOS, Android and Windows as well. I think you can get it for around $200...- headed

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
Just want to chime in ... I have had the dt1770 for three weeks now. I have reexperienced my music all over again! :) It's really like slaphead says - it wows you! I use Soundblaster e5 (my O2/Odac broke). End game for me. Good for my economy :)- headed

AKG K812 Pro
I agree. I have compared hd800 and k812 several times with recordings from 2010 and onwards.flacs, wavs and also mp3s. I never heard this "tizzines"but rather got involved in the music instead. I always believed I was an "objetive" listener and had almost some awe for the hd800. But now I feel...- headed

B&W P7 vs NAD VISO HP50
Why not try the Beyer t70p. It receives some mixed opinions thoug. I compared them several times with the NAD HP50. HP50 was my favourite until I listen to classical music, specially violins. It sounded nothing like violins. On the other hand the t70p sounded as I expected instruments to sound...- headed

AKG K812 Pro
May I suggest meanwhile you could pick an O2 amp combined with its DAC. It quite affordable. I just compared it with sennheisers latest offering - HDVD800. To me I really had to concentrate to hear any difference. I have had the o2odac around two years now. Happy listening since then :)- headed

AKG K550 vs Some others (denon d2000, akg k271, ultrasone edition 8, shure 940, shure 840, beyer dt770.....)
I use glasses. I don't think I can hear any bass change with glasses. I did bend the head-band a bit tighter though. After an hour I begin to feel the ear-pieces too much. I have to take the glasses off for a little while before putting them back again. That is the only disadvantage for me.- headed

AKG K812 Pro
Just chiming in here. I auditioned te hd800 and k812 three times one hour each time, in Gothenburg. I was really curious about the k812 in comparison with the hd800. I have heard so much about the qualities of the hd800, soundstage and resolution, less distorsion etc. I listened to Eva cassidy...- headed

B&W P7 vs Beyerdynamic T70p vs Sennheiser Momentum (over-ear)
Hi, My suggestion is to go for the beyer t70p. I auditioned p7, momentum over-ear, and nad hp50. I was hooked on hp50 until I heard the t70p. P7 had to strong but loose bass, hp50 very good impression but it colored the middle frequencies so that a live violin sounded artificial to me. (I play...- headed

Brief Impressions: Beyerdynamic T51p, T90, T1 and A20
I have the t70p and odac and O2. It is the best sounding combination I had ever owned. But I have of course auditioned even better combinations. For instance the T1 and T5p with same amplifiers. Too much money for now though. So, this is the poor man's audiophile setup. :) But the t70p...- headed

beyer t70 & t70p NEW!
I use the t70p with ODAC and the O2 (battery driver version) amp. It is well-known to handle low-impedance headphones admirably. With this setup I feel I get a very involving listening experience with classics as well as metal :) Lacks nothing to me. Instrumentation placements are well defined...- headed

B&W P7 vs NAD VISO HP50
I also want to mention that there is a clear difference in sound when you use different amps. I use ODAC and O2 nowadays. Previously I used a FIIO E10, it was OK, but not really comparable at all. Since I felt that lower impedance phones, like those we have discussed, didn't sound good at...- headed

B&W P7 vs NAD VISO HP50
Hi, I have auditioned the P7, Denon AH-D600 and HP50 twice, one hour each. So it not much. I currently own Akg K550 and Beyer DT770 pro. Me too was also intriqued by Tyle's recommendation and had hoped for that he would get his reviews of the P7, Kef M500 out, as well as some others. But...- headed

AKG K550 - NEW!!
My experience with K550 is that it conclusively replaces my Beyer dt770 pro 250 Ohm, beyer t50p, akg k240m. The dt770 pro was my favourite for long time (and still is in certain respects) but the k550 bests it in the "openness" of the sound and its "friendliness" of its sound if I may call it...- headed

AKG K550 vs Some others (denon d2000, akg k271, ultrasone edition 8, shure 940, shure 840, beyer dt770.....)
@KG Yes, it is a bit of a surprise that the fit is so vital for good sound in headphones. Earlier on I got the Beyer T50p - "on ear" portable with the Tesla tech. First I was really disappointed, there was no base, only nasality and flat thin middle and treble. I thought it it was a joke...- headed

AKG K550 vs Some others (denon d2000, akg k271, ultrasone edition 8, shure 940, shure 840, beyer dt770.....)
Hi, I have had the AKG K550 for some two weeks now. I had the Beyer DT770 pro, still have it, by it has been put away. The K550 are so more refreshing and open in sound. I never thought that I would give in to use another headphone than the 770 pro, but ... Regarding "Anyone else with...- headed

The NEW AKG K550 First impressions. Added pics!
Hi Rezound Sound, THe K550 are really good at all-types of music. As Tyle Hertzen on Innerdidelity puts it: "The AKG K550, on the other hand, is a very well balanced sounding headphone, and, to my ears, bests the above mentioned cans in terms of overall performance. They're nice and...- headed

The NEW AKG K550 First impressions. Added pics!
I got my K550 4 days ago. I am used to Beyerdynamic dt770 pro 250 ohm for a about a year - commuting 2,5 hours in train 4 times a week. I have never been disappointed with the dt770 pro's but since I got the K550 I switched over. I think it will last. Mainly the openness and the way the vocals...- headed

Really disappointed by the T50p, need burn in ?
I have had the t50p for about two months now. I was disappointed at first, but now I am constantly impressed with the sound.
