Your favorite Steely Dan album
Today, I'd say Gaucho > TRS > Aja > Pretzel Logic Tomorrow, maybe different..SD made 7 classics in 8 years time -
Requesting some good Irish folk bands.
Don't forget the band from Newfoundland, playing 'pop/rock music' with a very nice Irish folk twist, I love their record 'Something Beautiful' (2004). The Song 'John Barbour' is exceptional... Great Big Sea From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Great Big Sea was a Canadian folk rock... -
King Crimson 40th Anniversary releases
While exploring this band, I very much underestimated Beat, but also Thrak. I'm very curious on what Wilson has done with songs like Heartbeat. Yeah I remember, so no real love for Thrak? I really love that record, would definitely make my KC top 10. I also remember something about... -

My first real pair of headphones and I would like help

My first real pair of headphones and I would like help
Bass is not overly present imo, but if you like emphasis on bass, Grado's not the brand to go with. But I think RS en SR225 models DO have enough bass, but they're not D7000's either. RS1 is a pair of cans I feel is very well balanced in lows mids highs, suitable for metal tot prog to jazz- Proglover

Top 10 Most Downloaded HDtracks Albums (1/1/14 – 3/31/14)
Beck on 1 :O Some nice 24/96 recordings on this list, but it's far from being my personal HDtracks list. I still consider 'Open your ears' as one of the very best ways to start for a beginning head-fier:) -
My first real pair of headphones and I would like help
RS2 and RS1 are also Grado´s offcourse, but have a pretty different presentation then SR225! I replied your pm about the SR225, and yes that´s a great great starter pair of headphones, but RS1 and RS2 are a class higher, IMHO. Must admit, being a Grado lover, RS1i is still one of the...- Proglover

Best Band Or Artist By Decade
This is fun 60's The Band (and offcourse The Beatles, Dylan) 70's The Eagles 80's Rush / U2 / Iron Maiden / Dire Straits (if you see those 4, the 80's don't seem to be THAT bad..). If I were to chose; in that naming order 90's Spock's Beard / Porcupine Tree, in that order 00's Pain... -
Another Porcupine Tree Thread.
saw Steven en Tim together half a year ago at the Boerderij Zoetermeer* (Netherlands); it was fantastic, beauttifully played songs I was pleasantly surprised at how well these minimalistic songs stood up live, Tim's voice really is one in a million. *where Pain of Salvation will be... -

'roll me over....to my left side....to my right side' that record is a masterpiece, very nice recording quality and mix also, ideal headhone music for dark lonesome nights -
Another Porcupine Tree Thread.
^ defenitely yes, but he's leaning towards the heavier side op PT, so.... No-Man's Together Were Stranger is IMHO one of the very best records made involving Steven Wilson, if not, it's at the very nr1 spot for me. But it's something different, something else then PT, those records... -

Still haven't sold the T1, but I have only 2 hopes left to use headphones: RS1 (had it for a while, regret having sold them) en K1000, both heard them and I could be happy with them, especially compared to.....nothing. Not my cooking, but if you like (smoked Jewish style) fish, here's NY's very best appetizer: http://www.russanddaughters.com/ Shot that and ate it, this is one of the best fish bagels I've ever had. That's the 'belly lax' salmon, Russ' specialty. Everything about this bagel was...- Proglover
