I like listening to trance music and rap I'm thinking of getting the tiesto AKG167. Anyone out there have these headphones or have any recommendations. $150 is the max price I will go.

Yes, I pretty much sold on the Q40, They have good soundstage and some bass which is perfect for what i'm using them for, which is music and very little gaming which I haven't even done in months.  Once I get some money ill probably buy some really nice cans with an amp, ill be in the amp forums...

with the  M-Audio Q40 do i need an amp if i where to plug them into my tv or laptop?  Same with the shure 750 would they also need an amp.  My technicas didn't need an amp  so im hoping these don't either.

Ok i'm running them on a laptop and yes an xbox as well. The only problem is i dont like how big they are, you have other headphones that are good no more then 100 dallors that are as good as my m-50 and the akg k240?

Yeah sorry forgot to mention studio.  Grado aren't really what I had in mind, I like bass but not a bass head and Grado don't have enough bass plus I do game a little so Grado aren't good at all with that.
