FiiO Mont Blanc/E12 portable headphone amp, 880mW, slim design, full metal case. Bass boost and Cross feed!
I've done a little research, thanks. So basically the choice is between clear 1.7 mm duel lock with a life cycle of between 50 and 100 cycles. Or the black thats about 5mm and 1000 cycles. and for me the thick stuff is 100% cheaper.- jiminy

FiiO Mont Blanc/E12 portable headphone amp, 880mW, slim design, full metal case. Bass boost and Cross feed!
Does anyone know how many e12s went out in the first batch. We must be getting to the point where 25% have been resold (you are a fickle lot) ps I bought mine second hand so I could specifically get the original version I think it was in this thread that someone mentioned using...- jiminy

Single entry denon dxxxx
Oh dear, they aren't lookers. I made some wood cups last weekend so I can afford to play with the cups but I don't think it would make sense to go threw the cups as I think it would get in the way of the headband. The only place I can think of to go threw is in between the pads and the frame at...- jiminy

Single entry denon dxxxx
My denon d2000 were my first serious headphones but since buying them I have bought the fostex t50rp and Bose qc15 which have just one cable to the left earcup. I prefer this arrangement and was wondering if anyone had any information about it being done before, or if anyone had any ideas...- jiminy

FiiO Mont Blanc/E12 portable headphone amp, 880mW, slim design, full metal case. Bass boost and Cross feed!
Hold on to your hats, you are gonna love this question. can I use it to power Bose q15 a little louder. I know the Bose has its own inbuilt amp and I don't want to blow it up.- jiminy

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Am I missing something? why are Canadians buying from Germany instead of USA. Colourware charges $1500 Meier audio charges nearer $1576 and I'm assuming you have to pay some sort of tax either way. By the way those matt black 800's make my wallet grown.- jiminy

Fostex TH600 Dynamic Headphones
If we use that argument, does that mean the th900 is twice as good as the th600 and 20 times better than a fostex t50rp. I can understand people not wanting to compare the 600 to the 900 but to me it's the first headphone it should be compared to. The denon dxxx were rightly compared to each...- jiminy

FiiO Mont Blanc/E12 portable headphone amp, 880mW, slim design, full metal case. Bass boost and Cross feed!
Thanks for the mention of the c5 (that give me some reading to do) With the bass boost looking more unlikely to be useful the c5 might be an option. As for delivery dates, it looks like the c5 gets it official release first, at least worldwide.- jiminy

Fostex TH600 Dynamic Headphones
It would be really interesting to see whats actually inside both the th600 and 900. If the 600 sounded nearly as good, fostex would have to adjust (sabatarge) the cheaper model so as not to affect the desirability of he 900. I really like the look of these. If we are on the subject of M cars...- jiminy

FiiO Mont Blanc/E12 portable headphone amp, 880mW, slim design, full metal case. Bass boost and Cross feed!
I thought micca was an American store, in my expieriance it does not take more than a week to reply to an email. James fiio managed it a lot quicker For the record, i have no problem with fiio, I found his communications to be punctual and very professional even over CNY when they were on holiday.- jiminy

FiiO Mont Blanc/E12 portable headphone amp, 880mW, slim design, full metal case. Bass boost and Cross feed!
Anyone going to comment on the bass boost remark? I think what's happened is a couple of people who don't own the amp complained about the lack of boost so it has been changed. From what I have read, everyone who has this amp likes the current bass boost and does not want it changed. I've...- jiminy

FiiO Mont Blanc/E12 portable headphone amp, 880mW, slim design, full metal case. Bass boost and Cross feed!
Sorry to bring up bass boost again, everything that I have read by people that own it has been positive and now it is being changed. Am I right in thinking that the new setup is likely to sound flabby compared to the original. I like bass to be impactful and by looking at the new graph it has...- jiminy

Tube rolling
I've recently started looking at the sunrise 2 amp. And have seen mention of tube rolling. What is the science behind this. Does it make a difference to sound or is it as pointless as changing cables? Cheers- jiminy

Fostex T50RP Incremental Mods and Measurements
I've been playing around with variations of dmv#3 for a while and have been using masking tape to assemble it between mods. Tonight I have put the screws in and I have lost something. And as an aside, we don't need the LEDs to go threw a flashing sequence when it is turned on. Is it just me that thinks that's a pointless gimmick. It's not a ghetto blaster or a after market car stereo.- jiminy
