  For me, $100 is steep if it doesn't have a mic.   I'm happy to use the default cable if I can get one.  I don't want to spend $100 on the FLC8s silver cable - I read it doesn't sound as good as the default cable.

I am really jealous your instructions are in english.  Mine must have come straight from the factory of origin with the default instructions.

They do have visible seems but they don't look bad.  The finish of mine is decent looking, I would say better than the pictures I've seen so far online.   I think overall they are made well.  I do dislike the cable, and I will be looking to replace it as soon as I can.

yes ATH-IM70/50 and IM01-IM04   others have reviewed them but | jokers | opinion is pretty much the only one I trust.

Yes you are right - they do sound better through mobile sources in general.   My mac book pro definitely underpowers these.

After listening to these for weeks on end I have to say I love them.   In my initial review I complained about the bass being a little recessed.  AFAIK this is the first impressions thread that has popped on "teh intenets" and every review that was posted after mine has echoed what I stated...

Has anyone tried doing a sound comparison between the Stereo cable and the Cable w/ remote?  Supposedly the Stereo cable is 'high performance'.  I am curious to know if this changes the SQ for those who think is lacking.   Also - has anyone actually tried using an amp???
