My beloved SR-80s are dying
By dying, I should say that the sound frequently ceases to come out of the left can. By wiggling the connector around, it will come back momentarily. It's not a problem with the source connector, because i've tried it on multiple sources with the same behavior. If I seat the miniplug firmly...- Hop Pocket

Who we are and who we were
I've defintely changed, but I fear it's for the worst. I was in tip top mental shape and happy beyond belief all up through high school. Then in college I got really stressed out throughout the four years and I'm still battling anxiety like crazy now. It's actually pretty amazing the...- Hop Pocket

I'm now a burnin believer
First post in a real burn-in thread. Well, I'm a first time headphone owner (grado sr-80) and when I first got them, they were pretty weak. I had my officemate try them on and I asked him to try and remember what they sounded like. His initial impression was not all that great. About 4-6...- Hop Pocket

I'm crazy over Grado's with these new pads!
Today I finally got my flats for my SR-80's from Todd The Vinyl Junie, and like you, all I have to say is WOW. The difference in sound is just amazing. I'm still in a little buyer's remorse at the $30 but I'm getting over it pretty quickly Also, I think the flats are a lot more comfortable...- Hop Pocket

Weird clacking sound from laptop (hard disk?)
I've only experienced the clicking sound in one incident. One day it started clicking/clacking, and then two days later it was grinding and whirring. Hard drive died. Get everything off it while you still can!- Hop Pocket

Thoughts on my first pair of headphones (Grado SR-80s)
Heh @upgrado -- I imagine the rabbit hole goes pretty deep with regards to upgrades Is it worth it to buy a better sound card for my computer, given these headphones, or do you think that the onboard sound will probably sound as good as a $100 audigy? Or , should I just get a headphone amp ?- Hop Pocket

well..I think I am going to stop smoking
Hey, we can be quitting buddies! I quit about four days ago, and I'm wearing the patch. Besides being free of the constant nag to go kill myself at a slow rate, I'm doing it to save more money to buy equipment. Good luck!- Hop Pocket

Thoughts on my first pair of headphones (Grado SR-80s)
Hello! I've been lurking for a little while on these boards, trying to get a good feel for a first set of real headphones. I finally decided on a pair of Grado SR-80's and I honestly take them with me wherever I go These cans (I'm still adjusting to the lingo) are simply great. When I...- Hop Pocket
