Looking to ditch iTunes as default media player
You don't really need EAC but I prefer it for all my ripping and encoding purposes. I've used many other rippers/encoders and some have been good but I don't have the confidence in them that I have with EAC for providing an 'exact' copy. Foobar2k is very simple to use. You can literally... -
Need help choosing a DAC/Source for Stax 009/WES
Another option to consider is the Ayon Skylla II. Definitely over your stated budget but they do pop up for less than MSRP on Agon every once in a while.- ManBeard

A short (audiophile) guide to Winamp (/w Maiko WASAPI)
Thanks for posting this. Winamp was always my preferred music player but I had to swap to Foobar2000 with my current setup. Will definitely try this when I get home.- ManBeard

Yeah that was my setup from the last NJ meet back in August. I wish I owned all of them haha. One of the mk1's is mine, the mk2's belong to wavoman (which were modded by spritzer)...I forget who the other mk1's belong to.- ManBeard

Review & Story: Stax SR-007 / HeadAmp Blue Hawaii SE
Good read. I can definitely relate to your story since my headphone journey has been similar. I started out just looking for a good pair of IEMs. After about four years of trying different phones/amps, I picked up a used SR-007mk1/717 combo (about 1.5 years ago now) and have a BHSE on order.- ManBeard
