1. Added a field indicating if the amp has balanced inputs only. 2. For planar magnetics, I've applied a 3X multiplier to the requirements to indicate the demanding nature of these type of headphones. (Is 3X too much? Too conservative? Thoughts)- haslaughz

- Removed the "match" rating as it was causing much confusion. Instead, the tool will return 10 recommended amps. - Added power requirements by 2.5 dB steps in headphone specs. - Added some tooltips I'd like to incorporate amp gain into the calculations. I did my best to make the units consistent and verified the measurements from different sources. But I...- haslaughz

"Do I need an amp?" Well, I'm glad you asked...
Whenever I want a new pair of headphones, I often find myself wondering, "Do I need an amp?" (The answer is inevitably "yes"). Then for the next week or so, I spend my waking hours doing research, reading reviews, and obsessing over specs. There's got to be a more efficient way, right? ...- haslaughz

A very late Bose AE2 review
Conventional wisdom states that Bose is overpriced and terrible. And for years, I believed this without having actually tried any of their products. Then this weekend, I folded and finally bought a pair of AE2's. And I love them! Once upon a time, $150 for a pair of headphones was...- haslaughz
