You can pick up the Triple Fi 10's for just under $200 on Amazon I think. But yea, the W2 is right for you IMO.

Out of the 3 mentioned, the se530's hands down have the best fit, no matter what size ear they go in. The Klipsch x10 IMO doesn't have the same detail as the other two phones, but out of the other two I would prefer the Se530's because of their overall clarity.

Well, since I started using them I have been cranking the volume a bit higher due to hearing loss. I use the volume control and i put it up to around 80% but then i keep the volume just under that so figure i usually listen at about 70-75% most of the time. In would guess that this is the norm...

i would buy the shures for sound isolation, and that is a huge plus in IEM. However, the post above me is true, they would be a very good value.

Tip: Shut off all EQ and use trimmed triple flange tips, sometimes the foams damper the response if they are too deeply inserted or tight around the ear.

Here in brooklyn, all I see are stock apple buds and cheap off-the-rack buds. Sound quality isn't in demand apparently.

What about westone 1's? They are a great beginner's monitor and are light and comfortable.

I think the only step up that you will be happy with is going into custom monitors. The Westone 3's do have a better soundstage and bass, but if you liked the mids of the 530's, i wouldn't buy them. If bass is your favorite aspect, i would try out the westone 3's honestly. I'm not a basshead...

If you get that burning sensation like I used to experience when I used them, you should start using the triple flange or trim a pair to double flange. I prefer the triple's now because they are easier to take out and put less pressure on my ears because my left ear canal is also very narrow.

Thank you for posting this, I will definitely order these ASAP! They are about $70 but still a great deal.

They are supposed to go very far into your ear canal. What tips are you using that are giving you this problem?

I was thinking about reshelling them, because I love their sound now, but is it a good upgrade or should I just upgrade to a higher end custom IEM? What are your thoughts because I don't really have money to make a decision I might not like?

I don't think it's such a great idea man, to he honest.

The Um2 has a similar sound signature to the westone 3 because of its punchy bass. Of course it is less detailed and not as good sounding, but very close. Never tried the UM1 or westone 1's. Hope i've helped.
