Try SR. It's little different and even better.

Hahahahahah. Don't say. SR, metal genres (death, trash, black,...), sounds better to me than S. S are boring ;-).

I've got a problem with rockbox themes. A lot of While Playing Screens is not working properly at least. CORRADO  - missing battery time; LSE3 - same; minimalist - totally different theme; botio - second base... and so on. Where's the problem?

SR. S sounds thin.  What? Absolutly not! S sounds thin, less resolution, less airiness. SR are so good, that you will never return to old ER4.

Of course, there's a difference, because of a different material they are made from. Just a little, but if you aren't deaf, you can hear it ;-). Comparing old grey and new clear same size tips.

I don't think the new firmware sound is better. It's worse I think. Darker, less detailed, less airy, more like Cowon Plenue D. More as before. If I was in doubts to sell Opus#1, I'm ready to say goodbay it now. That's my opinion.

So, what about to start talking about the x10 firmware when it will be released? We can think about it, imagine how it works, but without a touch on it :-D.

Rockboxed - no problem

X3 is a great entry level hifi player ;-). I own Opus#1 and I can't complain about x3. In fact, maybe I prefer the x3 sound.

I'm thinking about future IEM's too. I like SR, but I had Campfire Audio Jupiter for a couple of days and theirs detail is phenomenal, I can't get it out of my head, but highs are exaggerated and there's a bad fit too. Any ideas? Customs maybe?

I listen to rock, metal mostly (black/trash/death etc.) and still SR best for me ;-). Depends on tastes. It is subjective. 

I have got SR and I will never go back to S. SR are clearly better ;-). No doubt.  

ER4S/SR compared to Noble K10, Campfire Andromeda...?
