Bowers & Wilkins P5 Impressions
I'll be posting here in the next few days my impressions of the Bowers & Wilkins P5s, just bought a pair. I currently own a pair of AKG K702s, which I'm fairly happy with. Granted, they're driven by an Audio-GD C-2. However, as I'm working in the office and out and about, I needed a pair of...- Zafsk

Speaker Pedestals
I'm re-arranging my room to make my audio set-up make a bit more sense, with a listening seat and speakers in their correct positions. I have a problem, well, more-so of a dilemma, but the speakers (pair of Acoustic Research 1969 AR-2x's) have been sitting on the ground for the last few months...- Zafsk

2011 International CES show product unveiling
So, it's the 6th. Where's my announcement? I'm excited! Edit: Wait, is this it? http://www.sennheiserusa.com/press_releases_01062011?00002 Slightly underwhelming, but that's cool.- Zafsk

New Sota Sapphire (Vacuum Version)
Well, this didn't take long. I've noticed a problem with the Turntable, it's somewhat minor, but I'd like to take care of it if I can. I notice a slight buzzing whenever there is no music playing, I presume its persistent through the music, though I can't hear it. It goes away if I press down...- Zafsk

New Sota Sapphire (Vacuum Version)
Thanks man. I actually went to replace the belt, and realized the "catch" or o-ring for the pulley, that sits inside the pulley to make it spin when in contact with motor spindel, had actually dried out. So I took it out and DIY'd a fix using a glue gun. I'm still not entirely sure about the...- Zafsk

New Sota Sapphire (Vacuum Version)
It's alive!! I've got everything working now, and oh my word it sounds fantastic. Worth every bit of time and heh, money. Here's a few pictures, if you guys have any questions, I'd love to answer them. My only concern it pops just a tad too much, I'd like to get rid of some of that popping...- Zafsk

What's your most expensive piece of Audio equipment (headphones or speaker)?
Not headphones, but my SOTA Star was a good deal but is still the most expensive piece of equipment I own.- Zafsk

2011 Atlanta Meet on March 19
Definitely interested. I can't say I could contribute much equipment, but I'm willing to help out. In Chattanooga, wouldn't be too far of a drive.- Zafsk

New Sota Sapphire (Vacuum Version)
If the VTF is 1.75 grams, I believe I did. The black box is a variable speed control I believe with an on switch for the turntable. I've never configured a turntable cartridge before, so this should be interesting. A lot of trial and error, I'm sure. I feel like the guy who's never had money and...- Zafsk

New Sota Sapphire (Vacuum Version)
It's very level, actually. That, and the deck actually suspends itself using some weird mount. So any environmental changes, it adjusts for it. The arm looks good though, took my time setting it up, I've got it to where it just floats. I think that's what it's supposed to do. Here are some...- Zafsk

New Sota Sapphire (Vacuum Version)
9pintube, the vacuum line is in good shape, the pump seems to work. I'll find out when I put in the belt. The serial number is 14418, or that may be the model number. There are no other numbers on the back. Where it says "Serial Number" it is blank. The tonearm is a Sumiko Premier MMT, which is...- Zafsk

New Sota Sapphire (Vacuum Version)
Hey guys, I will be posting pictures soon. That said, I am the proud new owner of a Sota Sapphire (vacuum version) turntable. I'm psyched, it's gorgeous. I bought it for $400 (what a deal, I spent weeks scouring for one), spent $100 on a Rega Bias 2 to pair with it. I just ordered a belt for it...- Zafsk
