Fostex new RP headphones - T50RPmk3, T40RPmk3 and T20RPmk3
I installed all the Mayflower mods minus the felt on driver and cotton. Definitely destroyed the bass when I had them in. I took out the original baffle dampener and cut out a rectangle for the center grid, held down with two thin strips of double-sided tape. Helped a lot to smooth out the...- xtenglong

Fostex T50RP Incremental Mods and Measurements
The rattling on the left side stopped now after playing with the screws. There still is rattling on the right side. I'll see if I can get rid of it by playing with the screws more. I think the tensions on the screws weren't evenly distributed, so I'll try tightening them in a star pattern. ...- xtenglong

Fostex T50RP Incremental Mods and Measurements
Are the drivers prone to rattling for deep bass, or is it mainly for the MK3 now that they cut out a grid on the driver allowing more air to move? I've had an issue with my left cup rattling and a bit on my right when the volume is turned up. I just exchanged it but the problem is still there. I...- xtenglong

Fostex T50RP Incremental Mods and Measurements
I'd like bring out vocals and guitars more on my MK3's. Would mods directly on the backside of the driver help with this? I'm not too sure what those mods actually do to the sound signature. Are they easily reversible? I'm afraid damaging the stock white dampening on the driver if I stick felt...- xtenglong

Which IEM to get for electronica? (~$200 or less)
Bump. So out of all of these headphones mentioned(and maybe other suggestions), which would have the best microdetail while still suiting my taste in music? I'm also considering bumping up my budget to $300, since I am planning to keep the IEMs for a long while.- xtenglong

Which IEM to get for electronica? (~$200 or less)
So the DBA-02 and CK10 wouldn't really be recommended for my tastes of music? I do enjoy a good amount of bass with a tight hard punch to it, but I equally enjoy an accurate, fast and aggressive overall sound quality. The RE252's sounds like it's a bit too laidback for my tastes from the review...- xtenglong

Which IEM to get for electronica? (~$200 or less)
I'm looking for a pair of IEMs for my portable rig. I listen to mostly electronica (usually house and dubstep, but sometimes trance). I usually will use it to commute to classes every day and will be longboarding half the time, so microphonics are pretty important. I've been looking around, and...- xtenglong

The Audio Technica M50 studio monitor thread
Just hopped on the M50 bandwagon and I'm loving it (: What are the head band and pad made out of? I'm guessing that it's not real leather. What do you guys use to condition them?- xtenglong

Recommendation for an amp for my purposes.
So I recently got a pair of M50 and a Clip+. I know that the M50 do not need an amp, but I figure why not get one if it'll improve the SQ. I'm looking to spend around $100 or less for an introductory portable amp (so far, I'm looking between the Mini^3, cmoyBB from jsdlabs, and the E7). I listen...- xtenglong

Help with equalizing M50's!
So I just picked up a new pair of M50s yesterday, and I'm loving it right now. Since they are new, I'm still burning them in. I was looking through this site and came across the tutorial on how to equalize headphones, and I've been trying to figure out how to correctly to do it, but all of it is...- xtenglong

I'm currently looking for a new set of headphones. I listen to mostly electro house, trance, and dubstep; although I occasionally listen to rock and hip hop. I had an Alessandro MS-1 before, and I really enjoyed them, but I didn't really listen to a lot of what I listen to now, so I'm not...- xtenglong
