I too am disappointed with the sound; the lack of low-end weight is very noticeable and the relatively limited power output mean it is easily driven into clipping. However, coupled to efficient and otherwise bass-heavy earphones, the sound is actually pretty good. I still wouldn't recommend...- unbalanced

XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player
"I cannot believe somebody voted against rockboxing the Xduoo Xj3. What a sad world we are in. What sad people are our there." I totally agree, some people have no compassion or sense of perspective; the Xduoo X3 without Rockbox is the by far the greatest threat to humanity. I thought...- unbalanced

And, XDuoo knew their design decisions would result in a compromise. However, I still don't believe that most of the people who are complaining would have become aware had the issue not been pointed out. It is unfair to describe the X3 as a "duff 44.1k player".- unbalanced

I also preferred the look of the original GUI, it had a clean, classic appearance which the new "cartoon" icons lack. Looking forward to the next firmware update.....- unbalanced

It sounds like you did not have them fitted properly, I experienced the same disappointment until I took the time to get a good fit.. and then everything changed.- unbalanced

Well, this is embarrassing! Last year I bought a pair of these and was somewhat disappointed by the sound and I left a review testifying to this. But... I recently discovered my AX35s, after they had sat unused in a draw, and I took the time to experiment with different tips and... wow! how...- unbalanced

XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player
I just received my X3 this morning and I am impressed; the fit, finish and sound are those of a higher-end player. The soundstage is very wide and spacious and free from any rough edges or unpleasantness. The other notable and unexpected point is the ergonomics; the X3 fits very nicely in the...- unbalanced

Hidizs AP100 (DAP) Support Team - Now on Head-fi!
Nice work Hidizs, if only all DAP manufacturers were this responsive to customer feedback. The player sounds great as well; has anything changed in the FW which would affect the sound or am I just imagining an improvement? Edit. It sounds like a different (i.e. better) player, in fact!- unbalanced

Hidizs AP100 (DAP) Support Team - Now on Head-fi!
Yes, but I'm sure a lot of people don't and I find it annoying that if I accidentally press one of the buttons I then have to repeatedly press it again to get back to where I want it to be, so a menu option to disable them would suit everyone. Perhaps if the buttons were recessed it wouldn't be...- unbalanced

no, but I rarely use the case. Some may find these buttons convenient but I never use the EQ and see no reason to change SRC once the preferred setting has been found but it's very easy to accidentally change these without noticing.- unbalanced

I think that gapless playback is probably the most called for feature on the AP100. I would also like to be able to disable the SRC and EQ buttons in the menu because it is very easy to accidentally press these side-mounted buttons.- unbalanced
