AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

Well, maybe I will go for the AP80 after all. I have been through 2 HiBy R2's in less than 30 days. The first one had busted UI (no display at all after it turned on) and the headphone jack already went out on the second one! Is HiBy really this unreliable? This was after my Shanling M0 died...

    HiBy R2 - HiBy's entry-level HiFi digital audio player

I held the button down for about 60 seconds, and nothing changed. The screen turns on, but it is dark gray and blank. When I shut it down, I hold it down again and it turns off. No yellow logo. Maybe I just got a bad unit and need to return it.

    HiBy R2 - HiBy's entry-level HiFi digital audio player

I just bought an R2, just took it out of the box and charged it for a few hours. All I get when I turn it on is a blank screen. No display, nothing to select. The on button is blue, but nothing on the screen. What am I doing wrong?

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

I ended up ordering the HiBy R2 from Amazon yesterday. I actually was prepared to put my feelings on FiiO aside and try out the M5, but it is out of stock and isn't expected back in for months! So I went with the R2 instead. In comparison to AP80, I was swayed by the R2's lack of a wheel...

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

I had two generations of the FiiO X3 and absolutely hated the sound. Does the M5 have a different sound signature?

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

Thank you. How about in terms of sound quality and and build quality? Is the AP 80 the most neutral of those players? I'm not a big FiiO fan.

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

Has anyone compared the AP80 Pro to the HiBy R2? My Shanling M0 has died, and I will not be buying another because I was disappointed with the build quality. After only two years of owning it, the screen turned white and remained that way, the volume/on-off knob broke (never dropped), and it...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

Hi all, Does anyone know how to contact TempoTec customer support? I have tried emailing two different email addresses now (the one on this webpage: http://www.tempotec.com.cn/en/5-Contact/index.htm, and the one on this webpage: https://www.tempotec.net/pages/contact-us), and I have received...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

No, Windows 10. It was working fine until this week now all of a sudden it is not being recognized. Thankfully I have another DAC that I can use.

I tried that and it still isn't working. In fact, my computer won't even recognize the Sonata. Even though I have downloaded and installed the Sonata driver. I sent an email to TempoTec about the issue. We will see what they say. I've only had the Sonata since July.

I have not! Frankly, I didn't even know there was one, nor how to do it. Is there a link somewhere with a download and description of how to?

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

Is there a dedicated Tempotec/Hidzis thread in the forum? I cannot seem to find one. I am having an issue with my Sonata HD Pro, wherein all of a sudden my phone only recognizes it as a charger. This doesn't happen with the other DAC that I have. Was hoping to find a dedicated Tempotec/Hidzis...

So I picked one of the Apple lightning dongles for the heck of it. I think it works ok with Android. It won't get super loud for sure, but I have it about 3-4 steps away from the top and I can't imagine going any louder. It would be really loud.

Good, inexpensive, reliable USB-C to USB-A cable

I think I just might buy an Anker cable from Amazon. Seems like they get good reviews, and inexpensive.
