Thinking of getting my first record player but having trouble with coming up with a setup.   I was thinking of getting a U-Turn Orbit. From what I've read I need a pre-amp, the U-Turn website offers "ART DJPRE II phono pre-amp" and I've also seen NAD PP2i recommended and might go with that...

Thanks! After a lot of scouring through the forums and thought... I think I may just hop over and go for Mjolnir + Gungnir. I don't think I will be able to deal with the option paralysis the tubes will give me lol. I'm also looking at LCD-2 now, rather than HE-400s, and it seems like this setup...

Thinking of getting this in the future...   I currently have Senn HD600s through Asgard [1] and HRT Music Streamer II. I was planning on upgrading to Lyr + Bifrost [Uber + USB], and getting HE-400s. But after searching through this forum all day, I'm feeling really drawn to just skip above...

Haha, really? Awful? I guess I have been seeing more and more complaints regarding it; sibilance, faulty cables, etc.   Are you using stock tubes for the Lyr when pairing with HD600s?

Any help?
