The fiio e9/e7 combo sounds pretty great with my HD650s, but note that the combo will only power the 650's to about 80% of their full potential. Never the less the fiio combo is a perfect budget choice that only limits you if you think you'll want to upgrade again soon, as they for sure don't...

I recommend passing on the m50s. I had them for two years, and while I loved how they sounded (my only complaint in this area is that the soundstage on the m50s is underwhelming and quite narrow), how easy they were to drive and the fact that they were built like a tank and could take a beating...

I would go with the m80 simply for the detachable cable because it ensures more longevity than a cable's that's attached. Although, I haven't babied by m50s and their still as good as new, but I would prefer the option of a detached cable. Sound wise, I really don't think there's much...

I use the app golden ear but there's also FLAC player. Both are sold on the iTunes store. 

Totally have love for the 202s. They're comfortable enough and I can throw them around.
