HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread
The Mojo 2 is more than enough for the SE and Organic. Not sure about 1/2 because I haven't heard those with the Mojo 2.- rlanger

Chord Hugo
I found that A/B testing is not as reliable as living with the DAC for a couple of weeks and then going back to the other one. I had an XDuoo X5 Pro and then got the OG Mojo. It was difficult to tell much of a difference upon A/B testing. But after living with the Mojo only for some time and...- rlanger

Final Audio D7000
Spent about an hour today listening to the D7000, and left really wanting to buy it. I had gone to the shop to spend some time with the Arya Organic, which I did, and thoroughly enjoyed. But there was a new D7000 on the counter so I said what the hell. Couldn't stop listening to it. Improved...- rlanger

I had this too. A little shot of Silicone Spray fixed it, and the creaking hasn't returned after more than a year.- rlanger

Holy Shitballs The Harmony Codex is Stunning.
I've been a Steven Wilson fan since I joined this forum back in 2006 and was turned on to Porcupine Tree at the time, so I may be a little biased, but Holy****MeSideways this album is one of, if not his absolute best recordings. And that's saying something. Damn, thank you Steven. -
Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
I joined when I was 40. I got my first IEMs for my 40th birthday from my wife. I don't remember exactly, but I think there were Shures. Now, 17 years later, I guess I'm very close to becoming an old fart.- rlanger

Edition X V2 or Edition XS
Unfortunately, the HEK is not an option for me because of the real leather headband. I think I'll continue to save for the Arya. Market price for a used Stealth model here in Japan is 85,000 yen right now or about US$575. New Organics are JPY195,000 so more than twice as much, and it will...- rlanger

Edition X V2 or Edition XS
Does anyone have any experience with both of these headphones? I listen to a wide variety of music; everything from Bebop to Electronic to Classical. Staples though are things like Snarky Puppy, Steely Dan (and most 70s classic / prog rock stuff), Rock Candy Funk Party, Steven Wilson, Pat...- rlanger

mojo vs mojo 2, legit way for me to test these 2 out?
The addition of crossfeed and transparent EQ alone made it more than worth the upgrade for me. When I tuned my cans to my liking using the EQ, the difference between the OG and the 2 were instantly recognizable. I'm 56 and have mild tinnitus in my right ear. I feel ya.- rlanger

I can't say that I've tested the XS with other DAC/Amps, but I can recommend the Chord Mojo 2 without hesitation. Soundstage, imaging, and clarity are all excellent, and the ability to transparently EQ has been a game changer for me.- rlanger
