Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
I'm still confused on this. On the EU site, I see New Foam Disc and Foam Disc Amiron Wireless, not Amiron Home. On the US site, I see only New Foam Disc. I'm in the US and I'm interested in these discs.- Ric4001

Grado Fan Club!
I've ordered the RS1, GS1000 and PS500 and I'm trying to figure out whether they add to the selection I already have, which is: SR80, SR325, Hemp, RS2 and White. Do the RS1, GS1000 and PS500 add a different sound from what I already have? I've read the RS1 is darker like the Hemp, but has...- Ric4001

iFi Audio Pro iDSD discussion thread
I just bought the IDSD Pro. I use Plex Media Server as my source for streaming my music collection. Plex Media Server is installed on a computer on my local wifi network and I stream from it to various devices in my home. From the Plex iPhone app, I can stream wirelessly from the Plex Media...- Ric4001

Grado Fan Club!
Just received the Hemp. The online reviews made little mention of the darker sound of these headphones relative to other Grado models, but I was prepared for it based on the comments in this thread and in other online forums. But also, I can confirm that, just like some others on this thread...- Ric4001

iFi audio iDSD Signature - The saga continues!
Nothing against buying direct from IFI, but nothing beats the convenience and security of having something delivered to my local Amazon locker, which you can do only if it ships from Amazon. Would love to see this available via Amazon fulfillment like most of IFI's other products.- Ric4001

The New Grado White Headphone @TTVJAudio.com
I recently bought a Grado White Edition and had a chance to compare it to my Grado 325. I have the large salad bowl cushions on my 325 and the White, so I'm eliminating the effect of any cushion difference from the comparison. The White is louder so it's hard to make a direct comparison with a...- Ric4001

Great headphone sound? It’s in the CAN! iFi audio ZEN CAN!
I want to connect the Zen Can 4.4mm output to unbalanced (RCA) active speaker inputs. Is it OK to connect the 4.4 balanced output to unbalanced inputs (I'm buying a 4.4mm to dual RCA cable for this)? I know with some of my studio equipment that has balanced outs, the manuals say that the...- Ric4001

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
What converter are people using to put 6SN7 tubes in the LD mk2? I looked at the various pictures posted in this thread, but can't see the full converter name and the links posted are to ebay sales that are no longer available.- Ric4001

iFi Audio Pro iESL - The Official Thread
Thanks. Yes, the tube amp requires that a speaker load be connected if it is powered on (and audio signal is going into the tube amp). Without a load, the amp's transformer and/or tubes will be damaged. So, based on your response, if the tube amp is connected to the IESL and the IESL is...- Ric4001

iFi Audio Pro iESL - The Official Thread
I have a technical question about using the loudspeaker inputs: I want to feed the loudspeaker inputs using a pure tube amp. So I'll connect the speaker outputs from the tube amp to the IESL speaker inputs, and connect the loudspeakers to the IESL speaker outputs. A pure tube amp must always...- Ric4001

iCAN micro SE – (thanks to Meze - you guys are great!) Things are a rockin.
Thanks for the info. That supply is tip positive. I assume you're not using it with a polarity reversing dongle? The latest IPower on IFI's site says it's tip negative, so I was assuming the ICan might also be tip negative. I also have an Itube2, which came with a 15V tip positive power...- Ric4001

iCAN micro SE – (thanks to Meze - you guys are great!) Things are a rockin.
I just purchased a used ICan micro SE but it did not come with a power supply. I'm going to buy a 15v power supply for the ICan, but can find no information on the polarity required. Is it tip positive or tip negative?- Ric4001
