I believe this is the case.

The 590s are often thought to be lesser phones compared to the 580/600. IMO though, they just produce a really different sound which is energetic/more forward compared to the 580/600. I say get the 600s if money isn't a problem and you are planning to get a decent amp to drive it.

I wish there are more reviews on the DMX 6 Fire as well. Seems like Tom's Hardware is the only place with a detailed review right now.

Or you could try Terratec's DMX 6 Fire 24/96 which gives you Audiophile 2496 (if not slightly better) sound quality, plus you get support for 3D gaming APIs (EAX, D3D, etc). The card comes with a headphone amp built into the break out box although nobody seem to have had any experience with it.

Could you post some specs of this power supply?

I have a Nomad II MG and it works great with the ER-4s. I believe both the iPod and the PJB100 have more powerful outputs than the Nomad so powering a pair of ER-4s shouldnt be a problem.

I used to own the SR-225s and used it almost entirely with a Total Airhead and it was a great combination. You will definitely love the synergy created by the 325s and the 4.5v TAH.

I find these descriptions somewhat confusing myself. From experience, such items are usually b-stock stuff or overstocked stuff sold cheap to the buyer from the past. The stuff about the Etys on sale for $215 is really old. I don't think you are gonna have much luck finding a brand new pair for any less than 260 - 270 these days.

I recommend the Porta Corda and the Total Airhead.. If you really prefer NOT to have thie portability, look into the Little and the Corda, both run a bit over 200 bucks, but if you get a 2nd hand unit, the final price should be under the $200 mark.
