Samson Rubicon R5A thoughts?
Hi, I'm looking for some new monitors and was going with the KRK Rokit 5 G2's, but then I saw the Rubicon R5A's and I cannot really find anything about them here (or anywhere else on the internet really). They got a pretty good review in Futuremusic, although I do not have the actual...- Pinnipeds

S:flo2 impressions thread
Would the s:flo2 be a good pair with the Etymotic ER4P? I've read some places that the er4's have an "analytical" sound. Does the s:flo offer similar or a more natural sound?- Pinnipeds

S:flo2 impressions thread
I'm really interested in the S:Flo2 but after reading some pretty bad stuff about the interface and such, I'm a bit wary. I play FLAC mostly (a little 320kpbs MP3 here and there). I'm pretty much only interested in the SQ. Can anyone sooth my worries?- Pinnipeds

Earphones Newbie
Hi, What do you mean by "deaf feeling"? Most everyone here oppose Bose, so steer clear of them, they're not the best quality. What's your price range?- Pinnipeds

Amp3
Hi, On this website, AMP3 Pro 2 hisoundaudio MP3 player PDAA - AMP3 mp3 Player/Amp - iPod iPhone and MP3 Players, it says it "Combining a Class A headphone amp". Does that mean that it comes with a built in amp, or it sounds better with an amp?- Pinnipeds

Does my FLAC sound as it should?
Hi guys, I'm going through the task of ripping my CD's to FLAC on a Mac in preparation of getting a Sansa Fuze (which won't take AAC iTunes files). How I do it is, I rip my CD on iTunes in a AIFF format, then convert it with FLACer, then put it into Songbird (I know that Songbird won't...- Pinnipeds

Thanks oddity That is defiantly what my setup is going to be, but now I'm stuck between headphones. I see you have Grado's and I'm thinking about the SR225i's. Would those be good for a portable setup? If not, I'm going with the ER-4P's- Pinnipeds
