FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
Here's my 2 cents (warning: I love good stuff but I don't consider myself an audiophile, just a keen amateur). Have had/have: SE420, AKG-702, B&W P7 wireless/wired. Wow. Just wow. I have been using the FLC 8S for 4 days now in the stock config. The only 'mod' I did was to use some SpinFit...- parajba

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
Wow, the FLC 8S must be pretty good to compete with the SE846. You convinced me, I am going to buy a pair from Amazon or eBay (I am in the UK and can't find any other dealer). Thanks a lot for the great advice!- parajba

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
I was planing to buy the Shure SE846 but then I found out about the FLC 8S...are these FLC 8S comparable to the SE846? For a fraction of the price...? Source is an iPhone 6 with potentially a Mojo in the near future. I currently have the SE420 and quite like them. £800 for the Shure is a lot...- parajba

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
Thanks a lot for the useful advice. I can get the SE846 for £800. The FLC 8S for £230. I am after the 'ultimate' IEM to be paired to my iPhone (6) as a source. I might buy a Mojo soon but I still haven't decided as I value simplicity in my set-up. Are the FLC 8S comparable to the SE846? Or are...- parajba

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
Wow. Just checked out the FLC8S online. Users compare them to the SE846 and k3003...for a fraction of the price. How is comfort and fitting? Is it as good as the Shure with their own olives? I am very tempted to buy them. But only if they ft as well as the Shure...Nore sure how/where to rest...- parajba

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
A bit OT but I can find the IE800 for £449 through work (official from Senhheiser). I am worried about the quality of their olives as I read they are silicon only. I really like the ones from my SE420.- parajba

The Official Sennheiser IE800S thread!
I can find the IE800 for £449 through an offer from work (official from Senhheiser). I was going to purchase the Shure SE846 but there is now almost £400 difference. Source is Spotify 320 via iPhone. Might buy a Mojo in the future. I had previously considered the IE800 but somehow dismissed...- parajba

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
And I am also thinking about purchasing a Chord Mojo to go with the SE846....I plan to keep this set-up for the next 5-7 years (just like I did with the SE420). Source is Spotify 320.- parajba

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I would like to buy a TOTL IEM, currently still using the SE420 (and loving them). Given that the SE846 are 3-4 years old now, do we know if there are any rumours about a successor? I don't consider the KSE1500 a 'real' successor. Thanks- parajba

What's next?
Thanks All for the replies, very much appreciated. One area where I find the 420 weak is actually the bass, so theincread punch at low frequencies is a nice change. I am very much leaning towards the 846. Any feedback on the W60? Price is similar.- parajba

What's next?
Thanks a lot for the kind reply. Do you know if the SE846 will be replaced by a new top of the line model soon? I understand they have been out for a few years now. Do you think they are significantly better than my current SE420 and B&W P7? (With my Spotify 320 source). I really like the...- parajba

What's next?
Hi All, I own a set of Shure IEM SE-420 from 2011. Over the years I went throug several headphones - and got rid of them. The only one that I kept is the SE-420 because imho it just sounded better. For the record I bought and sold AKG 702 with a FiiO amplifier/DAC, some Bose noice cancelling...- parajba

Sennheiser HD700 (and AKG 550, Grado sr325E and others tested today) vs Shure SE420
Righti, quick update. Did a lot of research and purchased a FiiO E11k and a pair of AKG K702. All worked out quite OK money wise (Amazon, <£200). Should receive it on Thursday. I am curious to hear the difference once they have completed the burn in period.- parajba

Sennheiser HD700 (and AKG 550, Grado sr325E and others tested today) vs Shure SE420
Preamble: I own a set of Shure SE420 coupled with an iPhone 6 (all my music is in lossless format). I also own a Denon mini system M31. I would like to buy a new set of headphone exclusively for home use. So I went ot my local shop today (Richer Sounds) and tested a few. I tested the Grado...- parajba
